discharge, referral and other fact of employment. Now a days it has seen that employees are
facing the problem of discrimination on the basis of gender, promotion and others. This report

INTRODUCTION
Background of the research
The main purpose of preparing this study is to understand the workplace discrimination
in an organization. Discrimination at workplace is based on certain functions which occur at the
time when an employee stated unfavorably because of gender, sexuality, race religion and
various other aspects. Discrimination is that factor which has to be minimized at the workplace
and can cause in lower productivity of employees. It’s also being a reason for increasing turnover
of employees as well as impact the performance of firm. There are different factors which are
related to the workplace discrimination. Some of these factors are related to the employee
performance as well as race gender religion(Sidiropoulou, 2020). The most common causes of
employment discrimination is related to sex discrimination. Under this, there is different
employment discrimination which are based on treating unfavorable due to the gender of
individual. This can be seen as discrimination between men and women. Discrimination is also
factor which can be seen in global organizations such as the score. There are different issues
which have to be faced by the employees while working on the job due to workplace
discrimination. These issues are related to interpersonal conflicts communication problem
gossips bullying harassment and various others. Under this, low level of motivation is also factor
which has to be considered by the business organization. This can be seen that there are different
factors which lead to low level of motivation because of workplace discrimination. As because
of high level of discrimination with the employees employee can lose their interest in the job
which lead to lower their motivation and will decrease the productivity. To effectively
completing this project Tesco plc is to be undertake that is a leading organization in UK who
deals in number of products and services like financial services, home ware, groceries etc.

RATIONALE
The current research is based on role of talent management framework and its future
implications within a business enterprise. The main reason behind choosing this research project
is to examine the issues based on talent management along with role of talent management in an
organization. This project is crucial for an individual firm and business sector in which an
enterprise would do their trading. This research helps in developing skills and understanding of

The problems related to workplace diversity in business firm?
According to (Sidiropoulou, 2020) Workplace diversity means an organization where
employer intentionally employs to number of employees and discriminate on the basis of gender,
religion, sexual orientation, and education that affected the organizational productivity. The
problems related to workplace diversity such as lower productivity, low profits, high employee
turnover, and lower morale between employees.
The factors that leads to workplace discrimination and impact on performance of employees
in TESCO Plc.?
According to (Gupta, 2019) In business organization, it has seen that various factors are
existing such as age, race, color, sex, disability, and national origin. The employer discriminate
with their employees on the basis of gender, and nationality. In context to Tesco, management
discriminate between male and female employees as it give opportunities to male. This impacts
on employees performance negatively and reduced the productivity.
Issues faced by employees because of workplace discrimination in Tesco Plc.?
According to (Gardas, and et. al., 2019) Workplace discrimination is the main issue which
is facing by employees at the workplace that affects the organizational productivity. In context to
Tesco Plc, employees faced the issue of demotivation, dissatisfaction to work, not accepting
challenges, and employees turnover that reduces the business performance and employees
performance negatively.
Strategies that can be used by management to solve issues related to workplace
discrimination?
According to (Crane and Hartwell, 2019) different types of strategies is require to follow
by organization which can help to solve the problem which are facing by employees. Following
civil right, equality act, workplace safety, food and safety and other laws should be follow by

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The process which is related to collecting information in order to conduct research is known
as Research Methodology. Several factors which assist in conducting research and gather
information for research are included in this methodology. According to the study of
Sidiropoulou (2020), there are various steps which are used to divide various factors of research
and perform task in effective manner that are mentioned below:
Research Approaches – Research approaches are functions which are concerned to use
of various tools and manage functions in a good way. This assist in doing project and
fulfilling needs in an efficient manner. These approaches are divided in two types that are
an inductive as well as deductive research approaches. Inductive approach of research is
associated with qualitative research while deductive approach is associated with
quantitative research.
o Justification: In connection with the current topic, deductive approach is valued
here. Deductive approach starts with hypothesis and evaluates quantitative
information with less time and cost which is required in this project (Anlesinya
and Amponsah-Tawiah, 2020). Hence, choosing this approach for conducting this
research provides effective and efficient information that helps in draws
conclusion and framing recommendations at the end of complete dissertations.
Research Philosophy – This can be elaborated as a method of collecting, using and
analysing relevant data connected to a specific process to achieve goals. Research
philosophies assist in making presumptions and provide justifications for the same. There
are two different kinds of research philosophies that are Interpretive and positivism.
o Justification: The above research is conducted on positivism research philosophy
which helps in meeting different standards and positive outcomes.

o Justification: In this research Mono method of research choices are used in order
to conduct this research in efficient manner. Just because this method provides
statistical data which assists in validation of research. Research Strategy - It refers to a process of planning in order to conduct that research
and make ready an appropriate planned structure (Narayanan, Rajithakumar and Menon,
2019). It involves several features which are interview experimental research, action
research, survey and Systematic Literature Review.
o Justification: This is a cost effective method to perform research and main reason
to use this strategy is connected with management of tools which assists in doing
project functions. Data Collection – This level of research is used by researcher to perform that research in
effective manner and involves various methods to collect data for that research (Gupta,
2019). There are two sources from which data is collected that are primary sources as
well as secondary sources. Primary sources are that sources from which new and fresh
data is collected whereas secondary sources are those sources which are taken from
someone else's work that are journals, articles, books, etc.
o Justification: In this research project primary collection method is used for data
collection in order to accomplish better results. These sources assists in collection
of data in raw form and useful as it is reliable in order to conduct that research. Sampling – Sample is taking a small portion from large population on random basis.
This helps to set up reliability of results of study of researcher. In order to select a sample
two methods can be used that are probabilistic as well as non-probabilistic methods of
sampling.
o Justification: In case of this report of research, random sampling method is used
which is a part of probabilistic sampling. Sample size of 40 is chosen to conduct
this research. Time Horizon – It involves cross-sectional as well as longitudinal areas of research
which are connected to overall time alloyed to conduct that research.

Data analysis- It refers to the analysis of data that reflects appropriate procedure of
transforming or modeling data which helps in discovering useful information. By using

effectively analyses collected information researcher use thematic analysis in this several
themes are operated to evaluate all information related to investigation.
o Justification- Using this technique researcher presents their data in effective and
efficient manner that helps in drawing valid conclusion at the end of research.
Research design- It refers to that design that is useful to carried out investigation
effectively that provides authentic answer to the research questions with the reason of
drawing conclusion. There are several types of research design that includes descriptive,
exploratory, experimental research design. To conduct this research descriptive research
is to be used so that researcher easily analyzes the facts and figures and framing a right
judgment.
o Justification- The main reason of using the descriptive research design is o
determines the characteristic of population that is being studies. With the use of
this method researcher can effectively analyze the data that helps in valid
conclusion and developing reliable research.
