Introduction
Research methodology is one of the most essential part of business management as a business
organizations undertake different type of research for making internal decisions in the
organization. In addition to that research is also important for analysing different stakeholders
in the organization. For example management of the company has to conduct regular research
on target customers in order to identify their needs and requirements from their organization.
This type of research helps in estimating the demand of a product and services which will
help in deciding the level of production required in business. In addition to that it will also
help in improving the quality of product and services offered by the company. This report
will be focused on different aspects of business research. Main objective of this research
would be to identify a particular research question and trying to find solution for such
question with the help of different methodologies used in business research. Research in this
report will be based on the level of impact that motivation and job satisfaction has on overall
profitability of the organization. First of all research question will be developed with the help
of subject matter under consideration (Kumar, 2019). Primary data as well as secondary data
will be used in this report to evaluate different aspects of subject matter under consideration.
At last conclusions will be made after analysing the results identified from literature review
and analysis of primary data collected specifically for the purpose of this report. It is expected
that this report will help in understanding different aspects of business research process and
methodology.
Main objective of this report is to evaluate different issues that might be faced by local
industries/ factories in need of serious redress". Majority of business operations in a factory
are undertaken by human resources and efficiency of other resources are also dependent on
efficiency of human resources to use such resources in the best interest of business
organisation. This report is focused on a particular issue i.e. "motivation issues and on the job
satisfaction" among employees working in a business organisation. For this purpose
relationship is required to be identified between motivation level of employee and efficiency
of business organisation. Efficiency of business organisation will be evaluated on the basis of
impact that human resource efficiency has on profitability and productivity of business
operations.

Research question can be defined as an answerable enquiry that will help in providing
specific direction to the research process with regard to a particular concern or subject matter.
Analysing and deciding a research question is a first step undertaken by researcher in the

1.1 Select a research question
First of all it is very important for researcher to identify primary and secondary questions
underlying the subject matter under consideration. Identification of research questions helps

can be completed. There are two type of research questions i.e. secondary questions and
primary question. Generally there is only one primary question whereas there can be
numerous secondary research questions. primary research questions is directly related to

Gass, 2015). It is already decided that the subject matter under consideration is the impact
that job satisfaction level and motivation has on financial performance of the company. On

It is expected that these primary and secondary research questions will help in identifying
efficient is relationship between organizational profitability and motivation level among
employees. This research questions will be answered with the help of secondary and primary
data. Online survey will be used for conducting primary research whereas literature review
will be used for secondary research.
1.2 Factors that contribute to process of successful research question selection
It is very important for a researcher to ensure that proper factors are considered while
selecting a particular Research question. For this purpose it is important to form an effective
and efficient to process for selection of a research question. In the given scenario following
processes was helpful in selecting primary and secondary research questions-
Step 1- First of all researcher is required to conduct a brainstorming session for identification
of different ideas. All the ideas under consideration should be in relation to the subject matter
for evaluation of questions.
Second step in this method would be to analyse the background of the subject matter under
consideration in detailed manner. This type of analysis will help in understanding the
different aspects of subject matter and Research question can be developed in effective

In third step, researcher is required to identify the methodology that will be used for the

It is already discussed that this report will use a combination of primary data and secondary
data for answering the research questions developed in the previous section. One of the
primary source of secondary research is different research papers issued by different Scholars
and authors in the subject under consideration (Hart, 2018). Main focus of section would be

relationship between job satisfaction and productivity of the company. For this purpose it is

Following are the summary of findings that are identified with the help of primary data-
ï‚· Majority of employees agree that there is a direct relationship between motivational
level of employees and profitability of a company.
ï‚· Majority of employees were working as operational level management employees
which will help in identification of relationship in more effective manner (Pinder,
2014).

ï‚· This research has included employees from every department in the organization.
ï‚· Satisfaction level of employees working in which organization is effective which
clearly shows that profitability of the company will increase in future.
ï‚· Employees in this organization also agree that top management of the company is
playing very important role in motivation and leadership of employees (Shahzadi
et.al, 2014).
On the basis of these findings it can be concluded that the financial performance of the
company would be effective as majority of employees are satisfied with their roles and
responsibilities in the organization. Data collected from primary sources clearly supports the
conclusions made with the help of secondary source of data that overall profitability of a
business organization will increase with increasing satisfaction level and motivation of
employees (Raziq and Maulabakhsh, 2015). In addition to that this data also confirm that
roles and responsibilities of managers and leaders is very important in motivating employees.

Conclusion
On the basis of this research proposal it can be concluded that there are various aspects that
should be considered by the researcher before starting the process of research. Various
aspects of research process can be identified with the help of this research proposal. Main
objective research proposal under consideration is to identify relationship between
satisfaction level of employees and profitability of a business organization. First focus of this
report was to identify research questions that will be helpful in identification of query under
consideration. This research had used primary source of data and secondary source of data for
answering the research questions. Literature review has been used for collection of data from
secondary sources and online survey has been used for collection of secondary data. On the
basis of this research it can be concluded that there is a direct relationship between financial
performance of an organization and motivated employees.
