Executive summary
Network security refers to the process of protecting and securing the
personal information of consumers from unauthorized networks and signals.
It is a very effective technique which is used in the IT infrastructure for
controlling and managing security threats associated with the computing
devices. OSI is an effective model that has the capability for improving the
effectiveness of the communication channels and network security help
developers for designing more secure OSI model in the companies. This
paper focuses on the significance of network security and their impacts on
the OSI model. The developed literature review provided complete
information related to the research topic and also highlighted the opinions of
other authors. The adopted research methodologies will help in achieving the
