Implications of Talent Management in Hospitality Sector_2
Aim
To analyse the implications of talent management (TM) in hospitality sector and barriers
for strategic approaches of TM due to economic and operational pressure: A case study on Hilton
hotel.
Objectives
To analysis the importance of systematic talent management.
To identify main challenges and barriers within talent management due to work and
economic pressure.
To improve performance of employees through talent management in hospitality sector.
To develop specific strategies for managing talent within an organization.

P3: Research Methodology
Research methodology is a technique which researchers use in their research operations
to search appropriate data. RM is the short form of research methodology which helpful in data
collection and data evaluation. RM provides different methods or ways to a researcher to
complete its research project on proper manner. Without research methodology a researcher can't
achieve its research objectives in decided time period. There are qualitative and quantitative two
major types of research methodology (Turner, 2018). A researcher always gives high priority to
only these two methods of research. Both research methods of research methodology have been
discussed below.
Qualitative Method
Qualitative research method is a specific scientific method which a researcher uses to
observe different things together non-numerical data. Personal interview technique has used in
this research project. These are too important sources of data collection. Mathematical or
numerical data are not used in this type of methods. Under qualitative method is helpful in
increase its social interaction values. Communication skills are highly needed to take huge
advantages from this method.
Quantitative Method
Quantitative method is a systematic method to analyse and identify different types of
statistical, computational and mathematical data. It is another form of research methodology
which is useful to collect appropriate data through questionnaires, polls, surveys etc. This

method is very productive to collect data, because data which found through this method are
always clear and accurate (Edwards, 2017). A researcher no need to give additional time to
recheck data which collected by quantitative method.
These are main methods under research methodology, but there is only qualitative
method has been used in this research project. Reason is, this method always provides data in
logical and realistic form.
Data Collection
Data collection is one of major tasks for a research project where a person uses different
data collection techniques to get appropriate data. There are mainly primary and secondary data
collection techniques are uses user most research projects.
Primary Technique
Primary data collection technique is a way for a research project where it helps to collect
data through interviews, discussion and surveys etc.
Secondary Technique
Under secondary data collection technique which is useful in collect necessary data
through magazines, newspapers, books and journals etc. These all are also great tools for
collecting data.
In this research project, there are both techniques have been used to data collection.
Reason is, these techniques are helpful in collect data from various useful sources.
Data Analysis
Data analysis is a process where researchers analyse their whole data which they
collected through various data collection methods (Azma and et.al., 2019). Under this process
such activities has included inspects, clean, filter, model and transform their data to convert them
in important information, decision-making support and in conclusion, etc. This is a very
necessary step to under a research project, because it is helpful to compile accurate and
productive data through this data analysis step. On the other side, data analysis process helps for
removing such data from research project which are wrong, inaccurate and unclear. Basically
this process promotes logicalness within a research project. There are majorly two types of
techniques uses under data analysis process; thematic techniques and statistical techniques. But
only thematic technique has used within this research project to analyse collected data. This
