TITLE- To identify and evaluate diabetes mellitus. CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION 1.1Overview of research In this present scenario, Diabetes in people is spreading at a fast pace in all across the world. It is a serious disease which affects the human organs like for an instance eye blindness, kidney and some other diseases. This disease mainly arises because of consuming high level of sugar in the more blood glucose, increasing urination, fatigue, weight loss etc.It is a metabolic disease under which the people have a high blood sugar.Basically, it is of two different kinds i.e. Type 1 and Types 2 diabetes. But it is noticed that many of the persons suffer with diabetes of Type 2. The Type 1 of diabetes is raised from early stage of childhood and it is basically a genetic disease and it can be spoiled fully but not controllable at one time (Cooper and et. al., 2011). When in a human body produce the minimum insulin in pancreas then in this case the Type 2 of diabetes is emerged. The National Health and Service is a publicly funded health and social care system which provides the health care services to people. It provides many services in which includes long term health acre, dentistry, in- patient care, ophthalmology and also primary care. Government provides the money or funds to this organisation so that it can provide the better as well as good quality of services to the people. In United Kingdom the Type 2 of diabetes disease are more an large number of people suffering from Diabetes disease. 1.2 Significance of research This research project is based on the topic ofidentification and evaluation diabetes mellitus in health and social care. In this modern time, many people are suffer from the disease Types 1 along with the Type 2 of diabetes (Hu, 2011). So, in context to this, it is necessary for the researcher to find out the different various methods as well as tools to control the diabetes or reduce its impact on individuals. 1.3 Research Aims and Objectives An Aim of research isTo identify and evaluate diabetesmellitus. The research objectives for the present study are given as below: ď‚·To identify prevalence of diabetes in the United Kingdom. ď‚·To cover all the requirements of the patients and also aware then for managing as well as controlling this disease in a proper manner. 1

CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 Introduction Literature review is helpful for the researcher to find out solutions in order to get over from the disease of diabetes in an effective manner (Nitert and et. al., 2012). Generally, it is used through which a researcher conducting an effective research regarding collection of data or information through using the different tools of research. With the help of previous research, all the scientists take help in order to know the main reasons behind emerging of diabetes as well as knowing about the controlling methods. From the diabetes many other problems can be arise suchasstroke,eyeproblems.Nervedamage,kindlydiseaseandmanymoreproblems. According to this given research, the researcher of NHS develop an effective and beneficial strategy. In addition to control the diabetes, National Health Service can take help from scientists. 2.2 Diabetes concept Diabetes is a rapidly emerging disease or health problem which is dispersed in quickly. This disease can be caused through the maximum insulin not the more blood sugar. So, in addition to this, it is easy for the researcher to find out beneficial tools and techniques for reducing and also eliminating the diabetes in a proper way (Meex and et. al., 2010.). There are two various kinds of diabetes and these are Type 1 diabetes and Type 2. This Type 1 diabetes can arise from the immune system and it is caused through the genes. On the other hand the Type 2 diabetes occur from the many factor like for an instance genes and also lifestyle factors. In case 2
if reg diabetes is not in balance then in this case it can impact on the many different organs of human body. In context to this, diabetes are of many ways like enhancing urine, increasing the thirst, blindness and many other. The NHS organisation focus on the various objectives for reducing an impact of this disease. Diabetes can arise many complications, problems as well as health issues which covers the many difficulties like damage of renal, illness etc. From this cited disease the metabolic disorder problem can arise. According to the view point ofJohnson and et. al., (2013), In United Kingdom country, there is more unusual obesity. In this country there is almost 30% of people which are suffer from additional fat and the diabetes problems. If firm and scientists cannot stop this disease, then in the coming year many people will be suffered from this, in regard to this, it is necessary to the government of United Kingdom to take some effective and appropriate actions from preventing people from diabetes. Along with this, there are different regulatory bodies which can take necessary efficient action for preclude obesity at large scale. 2.3 Affects of Diabetes on people Diabetes is a situation when blood sugar level is high in an individual. This develops the huge impact on the health of individuals. The main reason for cause of diabetes in person are bad food habit, genetic, environmental factors etc. The main symptoms through which diabetes in person can be determined are frequent urination and increase of hunger. To control such problem in society NHS has take various measures. They conduct awareness programmes for society regarding control of diabetes and provide free medical check-up to needy persons. Now, it can be understood that, diabetes has many adverse effects on the health of individuals. Such effects are define below: ď‚·Effect on heart:There is hue effect of diabetes on heart. Diabetes also becomes the reason of high blood pressure and high cholesterol which increases the risk of heart attacks in individuals. ď‚·Effect of diabetes on eyes:The person who are suffering from diabetes also have large number of chance to have problems in their eyes (Kantharidis and et. al., 2011). Diabetes also contributes eyes problems which cause swelling and leaking in the back of eye called retina. ď‚·Effects the kidney:Large adverse impact of diabetes on person is on their kidneys. Diabetes is the main reason for kidney failure. 3
ď‚·Effect on nerves:Diabetes also have large number of effect on the nerves of individual. This affects the ability of person in their bodily functions, movement and digestion. The damage on nerves can be noticed through following factors: - Excessive sweating - Numbness in hands and feet From the above discussion it is observed that, diabetes is also one of the cause due to which an individual is suffering form many other diseases. Diabetes lowers down the capability of person to prevent themselves from other problems. There are many different causes of diabetes are given below as above: Diabetes is a disease which can be arise during the more blood glucose, insulin problems, defective insulin and many others (Keenan and et. al., 2010. This disease can be impact ion the fatness tissues and also muscles sells which is an insulin resistance state. In context to this, there are many reasons from which diabetes can be caused: ď‚·In the night, urine problem increase. ď‚·Rapidly weight reduction. ď‚·Hidden fatigue as well as shortcomings. ď‚·Improper and imbalancing in diet. CHAPTER 3: RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES 3.1 Investigation type Investigation is very necessary in order to investigate for identifying the various kinds of research like for an instance qualitative as well as quantitative research. The qualitative research is concerned with the data as well as figure. On the other hand, qualitative research is helpful in a death analysis of related to the research topic (Meex and et. al., 2010). This research project concerned with dealing to the diabetes patients in order to control as well as eliminate the diabetes by suing the qualitative methods and technique. 3.2 Research design In order to maintaining the workings standards, it is essential for researcher to prepare and maintain the research design in a proper manner. In this there are three main different strategieswhicharehelpfulinthisreportsuchasexploratory, descriptiveaswellas experimental. In this research project, the descriptive research type is helpful in depth analysis. 4

3.3 Research philosophy It will be avail an investigator or researcher in order to collecting relevant data and information from the various different sources as well as experts. In this two types of philosophy are used like positivism and interpretivism. In order to collecting new information and data which is concerned with the issues related to this research project, an interpretivism philosophy is useful. 3.4 Research Approach It is a necessary part of this research methodologies under which inductive along with the deductive approaches are used in order to increasing the figures and facts which are concerned with the quantitative research as well as the statics are used under this given research (Lee and et. al., 2013). It will be helpful in the in depth research study of different qualitative aspects for the effective outcome. 3.5 Design method The research theory is conviction by using different techniques and methods for meeting up the effective outcomes. With the help of using the different technologies like positivism and interpretivism, researcher can evaluate this. Without any kind of human premium, the positivism logic is helpful in free analysis. On the other hand, interpretivism is according to the perception of an individual concerned to the study. 3.6 Research techniques Experts or researcher will realize many different instruments which can be helpful in a business firm in order to meeting up with the various needs and aims (Nitert and et. al., 2012). Prevent proposition is helpful in survey related to the collaboration between obesity and diabetes in an individual and it can be determines through an inductive approach. 3.7 Methods of data collection In this research project, there are many different considerations which are necessary in gathering of data. There are many effective and usable devices which can be connected through the experts. With the help of various sources such as effective techniques and optional, researcher can collect more data. In this research collect the data or information through the polls, observation, substantially, questionnaires and also overviews. 5
3.8 Ethical issues In this research project, research investigate many different issues in order to evaluating this in an effective manner (Pociot and et. al., 2010). In order to collect the information, research faces several issues like time and cost.It is necessary that researcher should keep data and information of secured and safe. The whole data will kept between researchers only for giving the high security and safety to the patients. 6
