The respective research is based on impact of globalisation on business operations and
functions activity. The researcher of respective report of want to determine how globalisation
impact on the company functions and that impact can be in negative or positive aspects. By
conducting the respective research project, investigator able to understand the concept of
globalisation in respect of company or business. In addition to this it will also help them in
understanding different ways by which an organization may enter into new market as well as
it also help in determining about the positive as well as negative impact of globalisation and
they also identify the strategies through which negative impact of globalisation can be
overcome successfully.

the people or company not analyse its benefits on day to day operations (Globalization
Benefits and Challenges, 2020). By adopting globalisation a company able to expand their
business at the international level which leads to several benefits such as it also enhance
customers' base that ensure increase in sales which leads to enhancement in the profitability
ratio in successful manner. In addition to this there are some other opportunities which a
company may attain through globalisation such as a company able to recruit talent at the
international level which improve the effectiveness of the firm as well as it also provide
opportunity to enhance sales as well as market value effectively. In current time each and
every company is adopting globalisation for business operations and functions activities
because through that they able to attain the pre determined target successfully.
 What are the ways through which a company can enter into new market?
According to the perspective of Naseem Jeewa, 2020, There are several strategies or plans
which a company may opt in order to enter into new emerging market. It is essential for a
company to conduct analysis of each and every strategy and then select appropriate one for the
business. In this first strategy is franchising of brand, it is determine as one of the easiest way

2020). In this an organization provide franchise to another person at specific location but it
incurred risk like company is putting their brand image in someone's hand. The next method
of expanding business is direct exporting according to which an organization may sell their
products and services directly to specific location. In this company mainly needs to make their
products and services directly to the store of specific location. In addition to this, there are
several other methods through which an organization can expand their business at the new
market such as partnership, joint venture, buying a company, licensing and many more.
 What are the positive and negative impact of globalisation experienced by
Amazon?
As per the view point of Caroline Duncan, 2018, when a company opt for globalisation they
experienced several ups and downs according to which they need to develop strategies and
plans (The Advantages and Disadvantages of Globalization for the Workplace, 2020). There
are several benefits or positive impact of globalisation which is experience by Amazon such as
it provide opportunity to respective company to increase their customer's base, profitability
ratio and market shares. Moreover it also aid in tap wider talent pool as through globalisation
Amazon able to attract local, nation as well as international candidates for job. Globalisation
also leads to generate new and innovation ideas by the culture diversity at the workplace as
well as it also attract large market. On the other hand there are several issues or negative
impact of globalisation which is experienced by Amazon such as problem maintaining supply
chain as due to globalisation company need to maintain supply of products at all over the
areas. Moreover, when respective company opt globalisation they experience corruption as the
whole process required several legal work in which company faced issue.
 What are the strategies through which negative impact of globalisation can be
overcome?

may adopt in order to overcome negative impact of globalisation as well as that will also aid

difference which can be overcome through developing strategies, rules and regulations that
everyone will contact in common language which is understand by all. Moreover firm may
also provide training to staffs so that they can motivate staffs that they respect every culture.

Another main issues which is experienced by company is resource limitation and supply chain
in respect of this a company need to hire outsourcing in order to their cost effective as well as
specialized skill. Along with this, companies also need to make sure that their all resources are
available and sufficient according to demand. In addition to this there are also several other
sources or stratgies through which negative impact of globalisation can be overcome such as
providing training, develop plan and many more.

What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why? What
your areas of research will cover:
Research methodology is determined as methods or techniques which is adopted by a project
manager for gathering most appropriate as well as authenticate information related to the
research topic which is related to the globalisation. There are several methods that are adopted
by a researcher so that they can gather most authenticate as well as reliable information
successfully. In respect of respective research project, investigator select onion framework
which is developed by Saunders et.al in year 2007. The main aim of developing this
framework is to describe stages or phase by which project manager must attain their aim when
creating proper methodology. In addition to this research onion is mainly considered as an
extension of research methods or techniques tree. The explanation of different stages of
research onion is explain below:-
 Research philosophy – It is determined as combination of beliefs which concern to the
beliefs that linked with the nature of reality which need to be investigated in effective
manner. It can be different on the base of research goal so it is better to use this
method in order to attain the research objectives. There are mainly two types of
research philosophies i.e. interpretivism as well as positivism. In respect of respective
research, project manager is adopting interpretivism philosophy which is mainly based
on the principle that states research performs a particular role in perceiving the social
world in effective manner. In respect of this research philosophy project manager able
to based its research interest or aim and objective.
 Research Approach – It is determined as a plan as well as procedure which is based on
the steps related to the broad assumptions in order to detailed techniques or method
such as analysis, data collection, interpretation and so on. There are main two types of
research approach i.e. inductive as well as deductive. In respect of this research project
manager is adopting inductive research approach as that is based or include theories as

well as observation which aid in providing an effective research outcome. The
respective research approach also aid researcher in gathering more authenticate as well
as reliable information according to topic.
 Research Strategies – It is considered as action plan or techniques which provide
proper direction to the thoughts as well as efforts of project manager so that they
conduct investigation in the best manner. For a project manager it is essential to select
the best as well as appropriate research strategy for their research because that will
help in attaining the desire goal and objectives successfully. In addition to this, there
are several types of research strategy from which researcher need to select appropriate
one such as questionnaire, survey, observation, interview and many more. In respect of
respective research project, investigator is adopting questionnaire research strategy
because through it they able to gather most authenticate as well as reliable information
in less time duration.
 Research Choice – It is determined as research method that will mainly provide
information about the ways through which information or data or statistics can be
gathered for gaining proper outcome successfully. There are main two different
research choice from which researcher select according to their research aim and
objective i.e. qualitative as well as quantitative methods. In respect of current research
project, investigator is adopting qualitative research method which help them in
collecting non numerical information about the research topic that related to the impact
of globalisation. In addition to this, the respective choice also aid in gathering in depth
information about the research topics by which researcher attain desire goal
successfully.
 Time horizon – It is also known as planning horizon, this is determined as the fixed
point of time duration in which a specific work need to accomplish for attaining the
desire goal as well as objective successfully. There are main two types of time horizon
such as longitudinal as well as cross sectional from which researcher need to select
most appropriate time for attaining desire goal and objective. In respect of respective
research, project manager is adopting cross section time horizon as that will provide

proper time duration to researcher in order to accomplish task in proper way.
 Data collection – It is determined as the method source of method through which
researcher will gather authenticate as well as reliable information according to their
research aim and objectives in successful manner. There are two types of data
collection methods primary as well as secondary method. In respect of respective
research, project manager will adopt primary method of data collection, it is also
known as first hand collected information. In respect of this method researcher
themselves collect the information, data or statistics according to the research topic.
This help them in ensuring the authenticity as well as reliability of information in
effective manner.
 Sampling – It is determined as method or technique through which researcher select
sample size from the whole population for gathering information according to the
research topic, aim and objectives. The non probabilistic as well as probabilistic is
determined as the form of sampling. In respective research project, project manager is
adopting random sampling method which is the type of probabilistic sampling. The
researcher select this method because through this they able to provide equal chance to
every respondents. The sample size selected for the respective research is 50
respondents.
