1. To examine the notion of Talent Management.
2. To identify the role of HR in presenting strong talent management strategies.
3. To recognise the challenges faced by HR in managing talent management practices within HSBC.
Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Reasons for choosing the project (e.g links to other subjects you are studying, personal interest,
future plans, knowledge/skills you want to improve, why the topic is important):
The topic is being selected in order to carry out research is related with examining role of HR within
talent management. The major reason of selecting this topic is to recognise dual perception of
personal and professional. In the context of personal aspect effective development within nature can
be exerted. With the help of this research I am able to develop my own skills due to which I can
enhance knowledge in various fields. The other personal benefit associated with this research is that
this would help in examining functioning of HR in respect of talent-management. In the context of
professional benefits this research is related with determining HR role in which differentiated
activities can be executed

Notion of Talent Management
According to the view point of Ghosh P (2019), talent management is defined as one of the crucial
aspect in which business objectives can be attained by the organisation. In current time this aspect is
one of the significant tool used by businesses in which skills and capabilities of employees are
enlightened and managed in prominent manner.
Role of HR in presenting strong talent management strategies
According to Starner T (2015) in an organisation talent-management strategies are executed by HR.
In this manner HR is having role to analyse talent-management management strategies in such a way
that business objectives can be attained. Besides this HR of business is planning to make transparent

recruitment process. Challenges faced by HR in managing talent management practiceAccording
to Erickson T( 2008), there are various challenges which are faced by HR while implementation of
talent-management policies such as managing change, organisational effectiveness, staffing and
many more. These are giving barrier to HR in examining talent-management strategies and aligning
the same to meet business objectives.

Gantt chart is defined as the type of bar chart which is outlining all those activities which are to be
conducted within a research so that efficacy can be attained within research. By taking assistance of
Gantt chart all the activities can be finished in appropriate time frame so researcher may receive
benefits over conducting the research. Besides this this is also helpful for researcher to avoid
