Sustainable businesses are more capable to cut down on waste cost and energy, which
will in move have a positive or favourable impact on the business environment. Sustainable
business also help an organisation at global level to recruit knowledgeable candidates and
motivate their existing employees. As it will support an organisation in development of its
growth and success globally. Along with this, globalisation and its effect on the environment
maximised consumptions which leads to increase production of goods.
Eco-friendly products are products that do not harm and impact the environment whether in their
disposal, use or production. In addition, these products help environment by essentially
decreasing pollution they could produce. Eco-friendly products prevent contributions to water,
air and land pollution (Leonidou and et. al., 2015). For this research project, Tesla is chosen
organisation that produce Eco-friendly products to the customers. It is an American energy and
automotive company that specialise in manufacturing of electric car through its SolarCity
subsidiary, solar panel manufacturing. It was founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard, Elon
Tarpenning, J.B. Straubel, Elon Musk and headquartered in Palo, Alto, California, U.S. and
worldwide. Main purpose of conducting this report is to find out main impact of Eco-friendly
products on business and organisational performance. This report is based on different questions
which includes formulation of research aim and objectives, literature review, research methods
and research outcomes by using questionnaire.
1.2 Research aims and objectives
Eco-friendly products are those products that do not harm society, environment,
organisation, whether in their production use and disposal. Tesla is much more than an Eco-
friendly Car or products. If gas is the number one fuel for cars in all around the world, cars of
Tesla are using electricity as their fuel (Katsikeas, Leonidou and Zeriti, 2016). It makes a large

2.1 Importance of Eco-friendly products in the globalized business process
Eco-friendly products are products that do not harm or damage the business environment
whether in the production, disposal or use. There are different advantages of eco-friendly
products within globalised business process. These advantages includes, saves energy, low
maintenance, costs less, improves environment, saves water, improves health, improves mental
health, saves materials, saves environment etc. These are major importance which will help an
organisation in development of its growth and success at global level.
No direct pollution: Eco-friendly products help an organisation in reduction of reliance
on fossil fuels that harm on environment such as oil, petroleum and natural gas. Since electric
cars follow battery power to drive the motor as well as do not burn petrol, they create zero direct
carbon emissions.
Cleaner even on fossil fuels: Electric cars as a type of eco-friendly product that is
produce much less pollution and not harm on environment than a car’s internal combustion
engine. Even following electricity from coal, an electric car is around 4 percent more efficient
than a petrol-powered car (The Benefits of Environmentally Friendly Transport, 2019).
Safety: One of the main advantages of eco-friendly cars of Tesla is their lower centre of
gravity, that makes them little likely to roll over. The body construction and durability of Tesla
also make them more safer in a collision.
2.2 Eco-friendly product in context of Tesla.
There are different number of eco-friendly products such as clothing, Reusable coffee
cups, recycled toilet paper, reusable bags, cling products, recycled toys, accessories. Electric car
etc. These products have direct or positive impact over environmental performance.
As per the view presented by Horng and et. al., 2017, Tesla is automotive organisation
which has their operations in all over the world. This organisation is most innovative
organisation in this industry which always focus over providence of products which are eco-
friendly in nature. The management of this organisation always tried to use the new and
innovative technologies in their offerings which allows them to be unique in nature and provide
competitive offering in market. In this regard, number of initiative are taken from this
organisation side which includes the acceleration of transport with the help of electric cars. There
are number of electric cars of Tesla in different models are present in market which allows them
to hold the market effectively in comparison to their competitors.

mortality, illness and diseases. Eco-friendly products have positive impact on environmental
performance by preventing their contributions to air, water and land pollution.
According to the Charls Edgar Choleman, 2017, Tesla Motors have established or implanted its
campaign in order to boost a greener personal transport system via its electric vehicles. Company
is much more aware of the information that they are releasing carbon emission indirectly via
power plants, including that electricity is one of the main power source of vehicles. Moreover,
company teaming up with SolarCity in order to give an effective option to electric car owner to
modify their cars using solar panels within their respective homes. Along with this, there are
certain impact of eco-friendly product on environmental performance of Tesla. These are
determine as below:
Reduced exhaust emissions: Eco-friendly cars with electrical engines and electrical
batteries or hybrid vehicles have verified to make a dramatically reduced amount of dangerous
exhaust emissions when driving at total speeds in entire kind of weather conditions (Eneizan,
Abd-Wahab and Obaid, 2016). As this directly support to keep nature cleaner as well as more
healthy or substantially diminishes the sum of pollutants let out when driving these superb
vehicles.
No direct pollution of air: It is another main impact of eco-friendly product or electric
cars that produced by Tesla. This has direct impact over environmental performance of Tesla.
There is no population which is beneficial for environment. Use of electric energy is renewable
in nature which helps to save the fuel and environment as both are depleting in nature (Chen,
Tang and Feldmann, 2015).

Sustainable businesses are more capable to cut down on waste cost
and energy, which will in move have a positive or favourable impact on
the business environment. Sustainable business also help an organisation
at global level to recruit knowledgeable candidates and motivate their existing
employees. As it will support an organisation in development of its growth
and success globally. Along with this, globalisation and its effect on the
environment maximised consumptions which leads to increase production of
goods. Eco-friendly products are products that do not harm and impact the
environment whether in their disposal, use or production. In addition, these
products help environment by essentially decreasing pollution they could
produce. Eco-friendly products prevent contributions to water, air and land
pollution (Leonidou and et. al., 2015). For this research project, Tesla is
chosen organisation that produce Eco-friendly products to the customers. It is
an American energy and automotive company that specialise in
manufacturing of electric car through its SolarCity subsidiary, solar panel
manufacturing. It was founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard, Elon Tarpenning,
J.B. Straubel, Elon Musk and headquartered in Palo, Alto, California, U.S.
and worldwide. Main purpose of conducting this report is to find out main

Determine population. What sampling method will you be using
……..discuss…..determine sample size....
Sampling method: In order to do primary research sampling will going to be
performed with the use of probabilistic method. By applying this sampling 50
employees of Tesla will be selected on random basis. As this sampling not
require more sources as well as time of researcher. On the other side, non-
probability is another type of sampling which is not used for this project
because it need more time of investigator.
Data
collection
methods
Questionnaire, interviews e.t.c…….which one….? Decide with
justification…
There are different methods of data collection such as Interview,
questionnaire, observation etc. These are are main methods of
data collection. Depict of all these method, questionnaire will be
used by researcher. As this instrument of data collection help
researcher in collection of reliable and valid information about the
eco-friendly products and its impact over environmental and
business performance of Tesla. Main reason behind using
questionnaire as it will support in collection of reliable
information and not take more time and resources of an
organisation or researcher.
