ABSTRACT
Equal pay is the right of every employee which is working in company. In a
organization employees are discriminated by way on basis of gender and skills and
abilities. Every employee of organization have equal right to get pay which is equal
to other employees in company. In some case women are provided less pay as
compared to the male employees in organization. So, in these case employee have
right to equal pay and employees also have right to complaints against unequal pay.
There is large impact of equal pay claims on organization productivity. The project is
discussing the Impact of equal pay claims on productivity of organization. Research
is including quantitative research which is including mathematical and computational
techniques. Researcher has use both qualitative ad quantitative research for
completing the task in effective way. Research techniques used by researcher is
questionnaire method which has complete research in effective way.
In the process of research data is collected and that is collected by way of
primary research or secondary research. In this researcher is using both the types of
data collected techniques. In sampling process researcher has use 50 respondents
for completing research. Ethical issues has included the execution of all the activities
and task done in ethical way. Equal pay can be given by company and it can also
use strategies for motivating employees because employees are demotivated by
getting unequal pay. By paying equal pay to employees it has build positive image of
company in market. In case of employees are getting equal pay they have work in
effective way and improve the performance of company in market. It has improved
productivity and company has achieved long terms goals in effective way. In case of
employees file complaints against company, organization has had to pay penalties
and pay to government as well.

1.1: Introduction
Equality and diversity can be defined as an activity that promote equal opportunities
for all the employees perform at workplace. This has encouraged or motivate
employees to do their task with more efficiency. In these regards, through diversity,
company give chances to every individual to attain their potential in effective way (El-
Chaarani, 2014).
It may support in developing positive working environment in which employees can
easily perform their job responsibilities and also take participate within the business

activities. In context of this, manager of business organization to ensure that
employees shouldn't be discriminate at workplace on the basis of their age, gender,
race, cultural background and many more. By this, company can retain employees
for longer period of time frame and also reduce employee turnover as well.
1.2: Background
Equal pay claims is having impact on productivity and company image in
market. Morrisons sin not providing equal pay to employees and even claims are not
registered, and they are ignored by company. It is resulting in discrimination among
employees and This has had impact on company performance in market.
Discrimination is done in the company is done on basis of gender and caste as well.
These unethical behaviour of company towards employees has have effect on
employee performance. These all has directly have impact on productivity and
customers has be unsatisfied with company works as well (O'Leary 2017).
Unequal pay has had negative impact on employees and morale of
employees has be low. Employees turn over rate has increase and company have to
hire employees. This has increase cost for company because they to spend more
money on hiring employees and training employees. New employees has take time
to work in proper way and for that company has suffered due to shortage of
employees. Unequal pay has also have negative impact on public relation because
once employee are ware about these it has created conflicts among employees.
Company have to look after the unequal pay issues and try to address those
complaints in effective way (Polonsky and Waller 2018).
1.3: Rationale of this study
Present study is supported on investigating the equal pay claims and its influence on
productivity of company. This topic includes wider scope for leaner and organization
as well. By undertaking this research, investigation analysis all the aspects of equal
pay to increase their skills and knowledge towards the same topic (Oswald, Proto
and Sgroi, 2015). Through this, learner take right and appropriate judgement in
research with the aim of making it more effective or successful. Along with this,
researcher also gather proper information towards the equal pay claims to keep their
skill strong and authenticate. It may support them in upcoming research activities on
same topic.
The research topic which is been included in research project is to investigate
on equal pay claims and how it has had impact on productivity as well. Topic is
providing knowledge to equity and diversity on work places. These all has have
impact on employee performance and productivity of company. This topic is used by
students on the academic level and at corporate level. It has be used by students to
maintain the equality in work places. The researcher is gathering the information and
also increasing their knowledge which has helped them to maintain the equality in

work places in the future. Students also has not be doing discrimination with other
student in classrooms (Oakley 2018).
