To find out the advantages and disadvantages of cultural diversity in the workplace of H&M.
To analyse several ways that could be adopted by H&M for managing cultural diversity at
workplace.

Reasons for choosing the project

Primary reason for choosing this project is to determine the several ways for managing cultural
diversity at workplace of company.
Another main reason for selecting this project is to increasing awareness about the cultural
diversity among societies, organisation and an individual.

Cultural diversity in context of an organisation
As per the opinion of Amadeo. K, 2020, Cultural diversity refers as a form of acknowledging the differences
in an individuals or group of people. These difference includes race, ability, language, ethnicity, age,

nationality, gender, religion, socioeconomic status or sexual orientation.
Positive and negative impact of cultural diversity at the workplace of H&M
According to the Emma 2019, There are several impact of cultural diversity that have positive and
negative impact at workplace of company. Some positive and negative impact will be explain as below:
Positive impact: Cultural diversity at workplace of company have to provide different benefits including
increased productivity level, increased profit, improved creativity, reduced employee turnover, wider
range of skills, improved culture insights etc. These are main advantages of cultural diversity that support
company in improvement of its performance level.
Negative impact: There are different drawbacks of cultural diversity at workplace of H&M. These are
conflicts, bureaucracy, un-productivity, disunity etc. These have negative impact over business
performance and growth of company. This will also impact over performance of employees at workplace.
Several ways that could be adopted by H&M for managing cultural diversity at workplace
According to the Morris 2019, there are several ways that could be used by H&M for managing cultural
diversity at workplace. These are communication, team building, time, schedule, teamwork, exploring
cultural diversity in the workplace, cultural diversity leadership training, awareness and many other.
These are consider more effective and useful ways for an organisation to use and manage cultural
diversity at workplace. As it turn to support an enterprise by improving its performance level. This will
also support company by enhancing productivity and performance level of their employees.
