P6 Reflection on the effectiveness of research methods and techniques
After interpreting the above data and information, I get analysed that that IoT plays a
crucial role in promoting higher level of awareness across the world of a small business
association. It delivers a platform where companies can monitor market reactions and develop
strategies accordingly. In order to gather appropriate data and information in this section, I have
chosen questionnaire method as it will deliver numerous benefits to my project and also helps me
to obtain accurate information and data about specific area of concern. In order to collect data, I
have made 10 questions for sample size of 70 respondents; these are local people of UK who
have great knowledge about digitalisation. I have choose this method as it is cost effective and
provide up to date and fresh information which gives effectiveness to my research project.
P7 Determine alternative research methodologies for the project
There are many alternative research methodologies which could also helps me out to
draw an effective conclusion and arrive desired outcomes. Such methods can be – focus groups
and observation. In which focus group is common qualitative research tool which contains small
number of respondents from target market of the company. It allows participants to ask open
ended questions and freely convey their thoughts of feelings. On the other hand, observation is
also known as systematic data collection approach in which investigator adopt all of their senses
in order to examine people in natural settings or naturally occurring situations. General
observations are quite cheap or cost effective and to carry out necessary information needed few
resources are needed by the researcher. Both these methods can aids me to improve effective and
better conclusion of specific area of concern.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned research project, it is overviewed that Internet of things
influences companies to do businesses in an effective manner. It helps to optimise business

processes, improvise communication, even rethink business models as well as stay them ahead
from competition so as attain organisational goals and objectives in a certain time period. In
order to attain desired aim and objectives of research project, there has been made a literature
review which help researcher to obtain information from the perspective of different authors.
Apart from this, qualitative approach is considered as a research methodology which is beneficial
for researcher to carry out or drawn an imperative conclusion. Along with this, data collection
has been made by using questionnaire thus to recognise customers' needs and wants.
