A diverse range of factorsgives impact on the working of an organisation, and it is required that employees should beprepared for meeting the challenges imposed by the diverse range of external and internalbusiness elements. Training and development programs support for making significantimprovements in existing skills and capabilities of staff members (Andrews and Hampel, 2015).The topic has been chosen for assessing the importance of training and development program onproductivity and effectiveness of staff members. Various training methods that can be used forimparting necessary skills and capabilities to employees are identified. 1.3 Literature review Theme 1: Importance of training and development programme for improvement inperformance The company focuses to enhance the performance of workers to achieve theeffectiveness of the industry. Training and development program increases the quality ofwork and encourages workers for good coordination to meet targets (Gale and et.al., 2013).Moreover, taking advantage of facilities provided by firm improves skills like communication,ability to deal with challenges and various kinds of managerial activities. However, it reducesturnover issues occurs in organisation influence reputation and effective profile to pull customersat the high level. Training program implements innovations to adopt dynamics, employees get trained to adjustaccording to circumstances (Landt and Melville, 2013). Thus, development program facilitiesprovided by the firm to enhance performance and leads to take benefits of coordination of eachand every professional. In addition to this, recognition of weakness also comes to know, and thefurther company seeks to strength the potential. It results to decrease drawbacks and workersperform in highly motivational manner. In this regard, the employee gets satisfied with theirperformance and tries to create a positive and healthy environment of the retail industry forimplementation. Theme 2: Training methods for enhancing productivity of employeesTraining and development program improves quality performance of workers of the entity(O'Leary, 2013). Therefore, the company uses different tools and techniques to for thisopportunity. These training programs are two two kinds like on the job and off the jobapproaches. Thus, the industry provides training through coaching, lectures, case studies, roleplay and business games, etc. These all elements come under both methods including on the jobas well off the job.On the training is conducted at the workplace, where firm facilitates coaching and job rotationfunctions. Further, job rotation involves proper management of trainee to grab the opportunity togain experience from several job assignments. Therefore, worker understands the problems ofthe trainee is placed under a particular supervisor who functions as a coach in training andprovides feedback to the trained other employees and further plays more supportive role for thejob. Including this, coaching classes are attended by a trainee to learn more and more for betterperformance. On the job training increases the productivity of job and helps to overcomeweaknesses of trainees (Ricciardin and et.al., 2015).4
