The influence of discrimination at workplace over employees
According to the view point of Tia Benjamin, 2018, discrimination is a type of prejudicial
treatment that employees may face at workplace related with promotion, salary,
duties, training, recruitment, benefits etc. on the basis of gender, age, religion,
disability, race etc. These kind of discrimination have an huge influence over the
employees mentally as while facing discriminatory behaviour they get into depression,
feel anxious, loss of self control etc. these in turn further affect the productivity as well
as performance of an employees.
On the other side, from the view point of Pham-Thi, T.T. and et. al., 2019, discrimination
at workplace is the major cause behind an organisation lack behind within the
competition at marketplace. This is so because discrimination directly influence the
growth and development of the employees, therefore several laws and regulations are
also being developed by the government for minimizing such issues.
Impact of employees' mental health on the execution of operations by
Deichman
As per the view point of Stacy Thomson, 2016, the psychological well being of an
employees in directly linked with its productivity as well as functioning of an
organisation. Therefore, it remains very crucial for an organisation to recognise a link
between workplace productivity as well as mental health issues. This in turn directly
influence the staff turnover, reputation and presentism or absenteeism of employees
within an organisation.
As per the view point of .Graham, K.M. and et. al., 2019, an organisation success is
totally depends over the employees as they are the one who put all the efforts toward
fulfilling the need and want of customers. Therefore employees plays a significant role
within improving the functioning of an organisation by enhancing the quality of work
which in turn leads to customers satisfaction. But due to poor mental health it leads to

increase in dissatisfaction, stress and disappointment related environment at workplace
which directly influence the functioning of employees and then functioning of business
as well.
Discrimination at workplace affect mental health of workers
As per the view point of T. Rajgopal, 2010, mental health of employees are very crucial
for a healthy working culture within an organisation. It is so because the mental health
problem brings up negative influence over employers as well as business as it leads to
reduction on productivity or profit, increase absenteeism and also increase in costs to
deal with issues.
According to the information presented by Triana, M.D.C. and et. al., 2019,
discrimination at workplace results into creating more work related stress among the
employees that is consider as a major reason behind reduction in the productivity and
human error. This in turn directly influence the functioning of Deichmann as due to
inappropriate mental health the productivity get reduced which in turn directly affect
organisational functioning among competitors and its marketplace.
Within the study performed by Elaine Brohan, Graham Thornicroft, 2010, it has been
found that the people with mental health problem are reported for being turned down
of the job due to their mental health problem. In addition to this such situation also stop
them to perform work effectively as they face discrimination at workplace.
