CHAPTER 1 - INTRODUCTIONTopic: To investigate impact of globalisation on the British Businesses on the UK retailsector. BackgroundGlobalisation is defined as a process of integrating the economy of one country with theeconomy of the world as a whole. It is concerned with making interaction and integrationamong people, business companies and government at the global level. With thedevelopment and increase in communication as well as transportation services, it hasresulted in creating impact on many British business in the economy (Djelic and Quack,2018). The present research will be based on making investigation about how globalisationwill have impact on the British businesses and its operations in context of marketcompetition. Also, it will provide deep insight about how globalisation has assisted BritishBusinesses in seeking market competition by formulation of sound and effective businessstrategies. Aims and ObjectivesAims - To assess the impact made by globalisation on the operations of British businessesin context of market competition.ObjectivesTo identify recent trends of the globalisation.To evaluate the impact globalisation having on the British businessesTo recommends measures to be undertaken for seeking benefits from globalisation.Research QuestionsQ.1. What are the current trends prevailing in the market because of globalisation ?Q.2. How globalisation has created impact on the British Businesses in context of marketcompetition ?Q.3. methods, measures and concepts used for conducting these research project.Research Type – Research are of two type viz. Quantitative and Qualitative research. Forthis research project, Qualitative method is used as it will provide better and properexplanation about the topic and its information. Research Approach– Is of two types i.e. Inductive & Deductive. Inductive provideseffective observation and deals with theoretical aspects of research. Deductive focuses onformulation of hypothesis. The researcher will use inductive approach as it deals withtheoretical aspects of the research study.Research Design – For completing this research study, Descriptive research design will beused by researcher. There are basically two types of research design viz. Exploring andDescriptive. Researcher will focus on Descriptive research design as it provideslongitudinal analysis of the case study making research easy to complete and understandas well. Basically it defines the study type for example survey, experiment, correlationalanalysis, etc.Research philosophy - Interpretivism and Positivism are research philosophy type used forcompleting research project. Researcher will use Interpretivism philosophy as itemphasizes on better analysis of qualitative facts.Sampling – Purposive sampling has been used by researcher for completing the researchproject. All the sample will be gathered from the 10 managers of the UK retail sector.Data Collection – Data will be gathered from both primary and secondary sources such asbooks, journals etc. Interview will be conducted & questionnaire prepared will be filled by10 managers of the UK retail sector.Data Analysis – Researcher has used Thematic means for analyzing data correctly. It willhelp in presenting accurate outcome and interpretation of the data so collected.CHAPTER 3 – RESEARCH PROCEDURESEthical Consideration - For conducting this research study, all the ethical aspects, normsand principles has been followed by the researcher and scholars. All the ethical guidelineshas been followed for successful completion of research study. Researcher has alsoensured that the data and information collected for research project has been rephrasedtotally. No data or information used in preparation of research project is fully copied andpaste as it is from the different website. Also, the consent form has been filled correctlyand properly by respondents with the purpose of willingly participation in the researchstudy.
