very important for each organisation to ensure effective talent management process in the
company so that high quality talent can be retain. Marks and Spencer is one among the well-
known companies which was established in 1884 and its headquarters is located in London. The
company adopts effective talent management strategies in order to retain talent. This report aims
to analyse different strategies related to talent management and its influence on organisational
performance.

This study aims to assess different strategies associated with talent management and its
impact on organisational performance. It is significant to conduct study on the topic "effective
talent management strategies for successful organisations" as it helps researcher in analysing
talent management concept on Marks and Spencer and determining talent management strategies
which can be employ at different levels. Apart from this, study also help in assessing the
influence of employing talent management strategies to enhance performance of organisation at
Marks and Spencer. This study helps in improving the performance of company as well as also

makes use of probability sampling method where simple random sampling is used to select
sample size. This assist in eliminating biasness while selecting sample. The sample size of 30
respondents is selected in this particular study who are employees of company.
Cost access and ethical consideration – In relation to this current study, the estimated cost
is near around 400 pounds which involves cost of data collection, transportation cost, internet
cost, and other costs. The researcher ensure that the data cannot be accessible to others in order

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The study based on title “Effective talent management strategies for successful
organizations” helped in improving my knowledge about the topic. By the assistance of this
study, I was able to learnt many things. I not only get knowledge regarding the topic but also
learnt about various research methodologies as well as the way to perform a research
systematically and ensure successful completion of its aim and objectives. Apart from this,
performing this research also improved my various skills like communication and team working.
In this study, I made use of quantitative research method in which both primary and secondary
data was collected and analysed. This method proved to be very effective in drawing accurate
outcomes of study. However, I can also use qualitative research method to perform the study
instead of quantitative as this can make it possible for me to understand the attitudes of people
and incorporate human experience in the study. In future, if I get a chance to perform another
research study, I will make use of qualitative research method and for gathering primary data, I

will use interview method. The overall experience from this study was excellent for me and it
highly contributed in my growth and development.
CONCLUSION
As per the above mentioned report, it has been concluded that the management of an
organisation should emphasize on managing talent in the company as this provides various
benefit to it in terms of improved employee engagement, enable multi skill building, succession
planning etc. Apart from this, by providing proper rewards and recognition and continuous
growth and development opportunities to employees, manager can retain them for long term in
the organisation. The process of talent management impact positively on profitability and
performance of company and there is direct link between employee retention and organisational
effectiveness. In order to attain competitive advantage in market, organisation requires to invest
in managing talent in the company.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Talent management is very significant process for an organisation which leads to improve its
performance and productivity. It is very much necessary for Marks & Spencer to emphasize on
managing talent and retain employees for long term in the company. In order to ensure this, there
are some recommendations provided to manager of company which help in retaining the talent.
Some of the recommendations are provided below -
1. The organisation should provide its employees with constant development opportunities
so that they can enable to improve their skills and competencies and perform their roles
and responsibilities effectively towards accomplishment of organisational goals.
2. In addition to this, the organisation should reward and recognise employees for the work
they have done in proper way so that they get motivated and emphasize more on towards
accomplishment of organisational goals.

Deductive research approach is selected by investigator in this investigation as it is grounded on

Research Choice – There are two research choices involving qualitative and quantitative. This study
considers Quantitative research choice as this is grounded on numerical and statistical data which
guarantees high accuracy, reliability and validity in outcomes of study.
Research strategy – Case study, qualitative survey, systematic literature review, quantitative survey
etc. are the research strategies among which Quantitative survey strategy will utilize through

Data collection method – Primary and secondary are the two types of data gathering method. This
study uses both the methods of data gathering so that ample amount of information or data can be
collected.
Sampling – Probability and non-probability are the two ways of selecting sample size. This study
considers Simple random probability sample method as it helps in reducing biasness. 30 respondents
are the sample size which is selected for this study who are employees of Marks & Spencer.
