A study on Harper Adams University.”CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION1.1 Overview of researchIn current time period, e- learning has became an essential means for gaining highknowledge or education through the assistance of internet, electronic media, etc. In this researchproject, they are analysing and identifying the major impact of e-learning or digital learning onoperations and administration of college activities. Along with this, it will help in determiningand identifies the present solution to highlighting the impacts (Beck and et. al., 2017). With useof e- learning techniques, it is easy for employees to perform their activities and remaincompetent in context to current market. In this project, e-learning will play an important role inproviding proper instruction and guidance to the college management towards efficient workingso the main objective of this examination is to investigate about role of e- learning in performingbusiness activities of small association. This research is based on Harper Adams University.This college is situated naer village of Edgmond near Newport, Shropshire, England, UK. Thiscollege provides higher education about managing and performing activities for agriculture andrural sector.1.2 Background of researchE- learning refers to the technology in which there is use of internet sources forenhancing knowledge. In this research, discussion will conducted for analysing role of e-learning in managing operations of college. There are many department working at HarperAdams University, so there is requirement of training methods to workforce, so they performactivities in better and effective manner. In current market, there are many educationalorganisations, so in order to compete with them management of Harper Adams University haveto accept technological changes which are taking place in external market. With using e-learning, it is easy for employees to learn and enhance their skills. Therefore, the rationale is very straightforward so theemployees required to learn new things within their college in better manner. This research will be completed in around 9 weeks. There aredifferent advantages and points that are explained as under:Communication – In this, communication is very essential for an organisation so thiswill help in managing or maintaining flow of information from person to another. This is alsorequired for each employee is to developing and making accurate communication in theirdepartment within the efficiency of working as per their desired roles and responsibilities thathelp them in fulfilling all major activities or functions in better way. Time management – For developing and formulating proper schedule that can help themin managing or maintaining units of their groups so they will assist in managing various businessoperations and its functions in effective manner. Coordination – In an organisation, each employee need to do work for makingappropriate coordination, on the other side company manager required to motivate their staffmembers that assist them in reaching with all the major tasks and work in proper way (Dalton,2017). Understanding – Gantt chart is that things which assist them in providing specific andclear facts or figures through which major task has been completed in given time period so thiscan be addressing the main business activities and functions effectively.
