Data Collection methods
In context with this research, it will be done using multi-method approach i.e. use of
both the methods primary and secondary according to the preference. Thus, all the
information collected with the help of this will be further included for performing this
research effectively.
Primary Research:
In this, subset of population is included because data are collected from them through
the process of sampling method. According to this method, all the information gathered are
considered to be new and fresh and the reason behind this is that collected data are not being
used by any of the researcher. Thus, to gather the information researcher includes various
methods such as questionnaire, surveys, interviews and many more. Henceforth, most of the
investigator relies on primary research because of its authenticity and data collected from this
are valid and reliable which means no alteration is done.

research investigator develops its literature review so as to make it more reliable and valid.
Research Approach: For doing this part of the research, qualitative method was taken
into consideration because it assists investigator in having an in-depth information
using which they can further enhance their knowledge. Thus, it makes the research
meaningful. However, for examining the data gathered through qualitative method
inductive approach was used because it not only helps in assessing the gathered
information but also assist in developing a new theory.

While doing a research, researcher requires a sum amount of money. As it helps the

management is more complicated. In context to this, from the linguistic barriers organisation
face issues of identifying what procedure and process can be implemented and what kind of
practices should be responsible. The main challenges are to accommodate diverse
requirement of various context needs and goals which are implemented appropriate language
that is expecting for each of them. It has been examined that's language differences can
hinder the communication because employees which are not fluent in primary language used
at workplace that arise the complexities in expressing their requirements for response to
request from the colleagues. The aim and objective in this research has been developed on the
basis of a particular research area. Literature review has been considered as most necessary or
important part as it provides the information regarding the specific subject area in detailed
manner. In the literature review part, information has been collected from using the
secondary sources such as articles, journals and others. In this part, there has been discussed
about of workplace diversity. Company mainly focus on hiring employees without
considering linguistic differences by construct diverse workforce planning. There has been
discussed about the differences in culture and linguistic operation within workforce. Social
structure of country is mainly based on the mixture of people from the immigrants and
natives. As there a large number of employees which are belonging to different backgrounds
and culture and their language are different from the each other and from this they face the
complexities to communicate and share their opinion with each other. It has been studied that
linguistic issues arise the miscommunication and misunderstanding at workplace among staff
members. In regards to this, it is necessary for company to apply the common language so
that they can communicate with each other and also share their ideas and opinions. There has

diversity is related to assuring equality at workplace. This has been evaluated that
multicultural and multilingual work was developed the positive and negative impact at the

30 sample size used through random sampling method in order to fill the questionnaire which
are developed through the researcher on the specific research area. In order to analyse the
data there has been thematic analysis method used by developing Microsoft Excel.
Recommendations
Despite linguistic barrier and cultural diversity, this is necessary to have diverse
workforce from different background as this is helpful to have various perspectives which
result in innovation solutions. There are employees who state to provide their full potential at
workplace through coordinating with their team members but also fail because of the
communication ability. It is necessary for an organisation to have come up with idea of
bracelet language barrier to ensure productivity of workplace and also develop the positive
working environment. Regarding this, there are some recommendations given below:
It is necessary for an organisation to use telling method and also showing training
methods. It is important to simplify training method so that they rely heavily on
telling. From this, employees can able to understand the work and focus on attaining
the set objectives effectively.
It is necessary for management of Tesco to use an Interpreter which can able to
interpret the information. Whenever management gives instruction for also feedback
to staff members then there may be someone who speaks both the languages fluently

Present research is based on impact analysis of linguistic differences in managerial
functions in the context of Tesco Convenience Store at Central London. It is wider area of
investigation that is effectual and explore knowledge as well as idea of a person in context to
factors which are beneficial in influencing intention of the people in order to working with
the different culture people. As I am happy to get chance to conduct research over the
selected study area as this is most common issue that mainly face while the employees which
are working at workplace. Present study is helpful for me in give the information regarding
impact of linguistic differences in managerial functions in the context of Tesco Convenience
Store at Central London. From this, the issues arise from the linguistic differences in
managerial functions has been studied in an effective manner. It helps in enhance my
knowledge as well as understanding regarding the specific subject area. I am glad that I have
the opportunity to research these broad studies in order to improve both personal and
professional skills in a specific field of study. In conducting the literature review part, I used
the secondary method of data collection by considered the different sources such as articles,
journals, books, internet sources and others. This part of research helped me in give the
detailed information regarding the specific subject area. In this current study research, I takes
into consideration that it is necessary to choose the most suitable source to correctly support
the overall research in a variety of methodological alternatives. With the related combination
of research, I acquired knowledge about the correct application of research methods.
According to my own observation, I acknowledged that I used the mixed method of
quantitative and qualitative research method in this present study as it is suitable for carrying
out research properly through support for data gathering in an effective manner. Through the
study of the case, I have found that both primary and secondary sources have been used to
obtain reliable and credible information under this research. In primary method, questionnaire
has been developed through by me by consist the different questions on impact analysis of
linguistic differences in managerial functions in the context of Tesco Convenience Store at
Central London. Other than this, secondary method has been used in conducting the literature
review part that provides the detailed information related to workplace diversity, Differences
in Cultural and Linguistic Operations within the Workforce, Effects of Multicultural and
Multilingual Workforce and Challenges of Mitigating Impacts of Multilingual and
Multicultural Workforce. For selection of sample size, there has been 30 sample chosen by

using the random sampling method because it gives the equal chance to all the chosen
respondents.
This research help me personally and professionally to develop my knowledge and
career in the selected field. During my study of this research, I have seen that my data
collection ability has improved as I have acquired adequate knowledge of the execution of
tools of data collection, which are necessary for the appropriate performance of an
investigation. It is effective for me in developing my research skills because increased skills
will enable me to improve my career in a certain area. For this reason I will have the
confidence to conduct more credible and accurate knowledge by applying the most suitable
analysis methodology by applying concise know-how on data collection in a more efficient
way in my plans for the future. In the current study I was evaluated that this approach is
focused on a wider level and is therefore used through an investigator in this questionnaire.
I was faced with multiple issues in conducting this study, such as unethical behaviour
of selected participants, inadequate funds, lack of time, etc. These are all barriers that arise
continuously in carrying out different research activities. This has a detrimental impact on the
outcome of study. These issues develop the negative impact on research outcomes and not
able to conduct investigation in future in systematic manner. In order to overcome from the
arisen issues, I consulted with my supervisor regarding to deal with them. They suggest me
idea about managing the time by develop Gantt chart. This helped me in arranging the
activities on the basis of given time period. Other than this, I have to arrange the money so
that I can able to complete all the activities of research in a systematic manner. On the other
hand, while conducting an investigation, I focused on collection of data and information by
using the ethical principles and using the authentic as well as reliable sources.
Alternative methodology
In this present research, questionnaire method has been used because through this
researcher can able to collect more information within the given period of time. The main
reason behind using this method is that it is less costly and researcher can able to collect more
information and data from large sample size. As an alternate methodology, interview method
can be used. In this, there is an interaction among the interviewer and interviewee regarding
the specific subject area. This method encompasses over personal interview under which
people chosen from population and there is personal interaction is mainly conducted to ask

can able to conduct an investigation in future in an effective manner. From considering all the
improvement areas researcher can able to conduct similar kind of investigation in future and
also get the positive outcomes in an effective manner.
