PROJECT 1: RESEARCH EVIDENCE REVIEWIntroductionMotivation play a very important role in human resource management as it put theirpositive impact on the performance of employees by providing them positive and healthyenvironment (Reeve, 2014). Availability of motivation leads to enhance the productivity ofhuman resources by satisfy them in more effective manner. In today's competitive world,motivation is a crucial aspect of bushiness management which gives its contribution in thesuccess of business along with fulfilling the goals and objectives of organization. In accordanceto above description, it is required for management of company to motivate their employees inbetter way by ensuring the availability of better work environment (Weiner, 2013). Therefore, commercial entity needs to identify the requirement of human resources aswell as their issues and problems (Bright, 2008). By identifying these, organization will be ableto take corrective actions for satisfying them in an effectual manner. Along with this, it is neededfor business entity to enhance the effectiveness of its reward system in order to gain betteradvantage of motivation. In this manner, main aim of present project report is to evaluate theimpact of motivation on the job satisfaction and performance of employees. For betterunderstanding of this study, ASDA has been selected by the researcher of project. ASDA hasincludes a chain of supermarkets hardhearted in United Kingdom. Management of company isfocused on rendering the high quality of household items to its customers. The Main BodyImpact of motivation on job satisfaction and performance of employeesVarious studies and researches have been conducted on the evaluation of impact ofmotivation on job satisfaction and performance of employees. According to the study of Weiner,(2012) there is a huge impact of motivation on job satisfaction and performance of employees.Availability of better motivation strategies put their positive impact on the performance ofemployees by encouraging them in an effectual manner. Along with this, motivation leads toenhance the satisfaction level of human resources by rendering them better opportunities in theircareer. In accordance the research of Mohammad Mosadegh Rad and HosseinYarmohammadian, (2006) it can be said that motivation play a crucial role in success of3

organization and fulfilling business objectives by enhancing the productivity of workforce andtheir satisfaction level. Without motivation, it is very difficult for business entity to achieve their goals andobjectives in an effectual manner (Kuvaas 2006). In accordance to past studies, motivationincludes a range of tools, techniques and methods which can be considered by the managementof company at the time of making their strategy. Availability of appropriate motivation strategyput their positive impact on the business's performance by eliminating the chances of conflictsamong employees. In this aspect, it is said by Bright, (2008) that motivation is a a part of modernapproach of human resource management which is focused on reducing the stress and pressure ofworkforce by satisfying their needs in more effective manner.As per the study of Weiner, (2012), there is very tough competition in retail marketwhich influence organization to perform their practices in an effectual manner in order to survivein this competitive world and maintaining their sales revenue and profitability. Withenhancement in competition, economy is facing the issue of continuous recession which put theirhuge impact on the development of company. Due to above mentioned aspects, it is required forcommercial entity to manage its position in market and satisfy their customer needs formaintaining their profitability and sales revenue (Weiner, 2012). Along with this, management ofcompany needs to provide proper motivation to their employees because market share ofbusiness and level of customer satisfaction are highly affected by the motivation level of humanresources. In accordance the study of Reeve, (2014) retail companies in UK are facing a very criticaltime in motivating and encouraging their employees because employee turn over is increasingcontinuously due to enhancement in competition. With having this issue, motivation practicescan't be avoided by business entity because it is the main base of employee satisfaction and theirperformance improvement. Case study of Weiner, (2013) suggests that motivation is focused onbounding the human resources in single organization for more times instead of less motivatedemployees. On the same side, it assist workforce to deliver their best performance and serviceswhich leads to raise the customer value of company. By considering the above aspects, it has been said by Mohammad Mosadegh Rad andHossein Yarmohammadian, (2006) in modern era, motivation must necessary for commercial4
