• With the advent of advanced IT infrastructure
the use of health IT system is increasing widely.
• The information technology helps health
professionals to systematically manage the
records of patients so that their medical history
and treatments requirements can be easily
assessed.
• It empowers service providers to deliver more
accurate services without any medication or
diagnosis errors. IT also allows easy and quick
sharing of data which is helpful for both patients

Integrating IT with healthcare services
 According to Mukred, Singh and Safie, (2017), health information system
establishes a better coordination and communication between healthcare
professionals and patients.
 In the same context Gao, Li and Luo, (2015) stated that the easy access to
healthcare information helps practitioners and government health agencies
to take suitable decisions related to healthcare.
