It is allthose activities which let the workers to stick to firm for longer time. There are varioustechniques and strategies used by the managers of company so that they can retain theiremployees by satisfying them. For every company its employees are their bread and butter. Apartfrom this, it is very essential for the organisation to create effective working environment so that,they can enhance the productivity as well as increase their sales turnover at the competitivemarketplace (Beyers and et. al., 2014). The major issues faced by the employee in theorganisation is low satisfaction towards the work and due to this not able achieve the targets ofthe company. For retaining the employees the management team of the company should usecertain technology for recruiting and even providing the training facility to its worker for betterproductivity. Through training sessions employees will participate effectively, further this willaid in performing their task in an innovative manner. Healthy and friendly environment willmake the employees happy and satisfaction towards their job role.Background of researchThe retention of employees is advised as a process which workers are encouraged to bewith the firm for longer duration. Retain is plan of action which helps the company in aneffective manner as well as provide impressive staff communication for the development of theorganisation. For retaining the employees it is necessary to provide them comfortable worksurroundings in effective manner. It is important for the workers to motivate and providing thema platform for higher growth opportunities(Camahalan and Ruley, 2014). Marriott internationalis directing transnational in variety in hospitality sectors which deals and as well as providingthe broad hotel and housing facilities. Its central office is in Bethesda, Maryland, US. Companymanagement should deal and communicate with its staff in an cheerful way so that they can bemotivated. The trainings and facilities given to the workers for enhancing their knowledge andskill so that they can perform their work in an impressive way. This thought was created byMarriott international.
Statement of research problemsResearch problem area of issues which are faced by the researcher while doing theresearch. There are various procedures, techniques, methods of collecting data and so on whichare followed during the research worker(Creswell, 2014). Due to such issues research get intocomplicated platform which will take to negative path. The major problems which are faced bythe researcher while collecting the data is the individual are not responding properly and lack ofinsufficient funds and so on. Furthermore, the researcher is having less time in selecting theresearch topic.Research aimThe research aim for the current study is“To examine different methods used byorganisation for retaining their employees in order to enhance overall productivity of firm”. The major important scope of the research is to providethe solution to the management of Marriott company.
Rationale of topicThis method is adopted through researcher for attaining their objectives. MarriottInternational will able to know the different ways that exploit the employees retention atcompany as well as can increase the productivity which will increase the high profit ratio.Moreover firm can improve the weak points which is needed to modify according to thesituations and market conditions.Time DurationThis is important part of the researcher while conducting the research study. Whilecollecting the data as well as investigating the need in context to research topic it took approx 3months for doing the survey and also it also took much time to understand the individualperceptions towards the topic (Veal, 2017). Time is a important factor of research.TimescaleGantt Chart:It is a graphical presentation which shows the initial and finishing dates ofvarious projects like resources, responsibility, milestones and so on. It helps in searchingprojects which is been implemented as where as don't start the another task without completingprimary work. It also display possible snarl up and analyzes the work which has been estimated.It is used by project manager, general manager and many more. This chart basically used by theproject management(Silverman, 2016). On the let side of the chart is a list activities and on theright side starting and finishing dates of the projects. Gantt chart helps the researcher to workwithin the time scheduled and work according to abilities and talents.
