Plan for the research project
Aim: To gain idea about the impact of workplace discrimination
on the organisational performance.
Objectives:
To analyse the concept of workplace discrimination in retail
sector with the special reference to ASDA..
To identify driving forces that can influence the organisational
performance.
To recommend ways through which workplace discrimination can
be eliminated within the organisation.

Research Methodology Used
Research methodology is considered as a combination of diverse systematic
frameworks which can be used by researcher to accomplish effective results from
the study (Walter and Andersen, 2013). In this respect, researcher has considered
number of elements that are related with the methodology, their classification can
be as follows:
Research Design: For the effective accomplishment of research objectives and
acquisition of better results, researcher is more focused towards the selection of
descriptive research design as it facilitates in effective identification or resolution of
issues (Kumar, 2016).

Research approach: With an assistance of inductive approach and proper
selection of framework, objectives of current study can be accomplished in a proper way
(Tarone, Gass and Cohen, 2013). Selection of framework is appropriate for the
completion of investigation in a proper way as it helps in gathering optimistic
information at small range of variables and outcomes.
Research Philosophy: In order to have better outcome, researcher has focused on
interpretivism philosophy as it helps in attaining better outcome from the study. In other
words, it can be said that proper selection of philophy renders detailed information in
context of various factors that can influence the organisational performance (Flick,
2015). This term also provides assistance to investigator to assess the impact of
workplace discrimination on organisational performance.

Research type: In this support, it can be said that the researcher has considered
qualitative research method as an appropriate method in order to have effective
outcomes (Bell and Bryman, 2003.). In this respect, it can be said that
qualitative research provides in-depth investigation of human behaviour and some
other additional factors. It means the perception of employees towards workplace
discrimination within organization.

How i carried out research
Data collection and Sampling: In this respect, it can be said that there are
number of secondary sources that have been accessed by the researcher to have
effective gathering of information such as books, journals, articles, etc. On the
other side, in regard to primary study, researcher has used questionnaire method
to acquire responses from the employees of ASDA. Questionnaire is one of most
critical and significant tools that helps in the effective accomplishment of
primary study.
Data analysis: In order to have effective evaluation of gathered data,
researcher has focused on thematic approach of data analysis. It provides better
assistance in the analysis of qualitative information by assigning diverse themes
on the basis of questionnaire.
