INTRODUCTION
Career researching can be termed as a process within which an individual operate
functions related to detailed evaluation of options as to select particular area of interests that are
required by them to pursue (Cooky, 2018). With the help of this form of research a well defined
guideline can be attained that lead towards more professional development.
As being a fresh graduate it is essential to chose a particular area within which I can
further able to pursue by career. Thus for this I have selected Sports and Leisure. This is one of
the most prominent and leading sector. The job position within this is Store manager.
ANALYSIS & APPLICATION
Sports and leisure is one of the largest industry in their respective field. The advantage so
f sports and leisure are important to every individual. In result it create employment and its is a
billion dollars company. In other words, sports and leisure create environmental surrounding and
expands green spaces, health benefits and personal satisfaction. Sports act activities develop
leadership skill in person life. Better relationships are developed among different communities.
There are other benefits such as physical and mental and thus reduce cholesterol level,
hypertension and create bone density in the person. Sports can benefits in career growth and
provide employment for youth. Sports and leisure also works as stress management and reduce
negative vibes from the persons mind an help them to stay calm and positive in every situation of
life. Effective lifestyle is developed in the context of sports and leisure and it also contribute
society and try to build social interaction among persons.
Most of the people sports as their career because they feel personal satisfaction and make
them more creative. Sports keep person healthy and mentally fit, and stress level is reduce by
playing any sports of individual choice. Although sports and leisure management is a highly
professional courses, in which graduate gain get a better understanding of sports in particular
field and its problems occurred while playing any ports as per the choice. It will also provide a
good insight of sociology and psychology impact on graduates while choosing a sport as a future
career.
There are various job option which are required in sports and leisure are fitness centre
manager. If person wants its careerer in bodybuilding so there are many courses available in
fitness centre. From their individual can get training certificate and can open his own gym or

fitness centre and can peruse his dream. There are other options such as sports development
officer in which he cam pursue his future. In this kind of job graduate have to look after sports
responsibilities and future of sports. Sports coach is now one of the most popular career choose
among the graduates. And it is one of the est job consider by the sports enthusiastic because here
anyone can follow his passion and can teach other person to play sports. Work experience in
important to complete the course in sports and leisure. Sports coaches and instructor and sports
official are the top most jobs preferred by graduates in employment in UK itself.

Hereby, data is gathered by way of sources such as governmental websites, books,
journals, surveys, census, research findings etc. Labour market information covers the basic
elements of labour and its different operations. It include the demand and supply of labour
required in the market. Where as demand means number of job available in market and supply
tells the people required for particular job. If individual have knowledge of labour market it helps
in taking good decision and if person wants to change the job at new place. It find out whether
the requirement is available or not. Job market data provide the information regarding the
employment trends whereas labour market helps in deciding the careers personally In the area of
interest. A genuine and hard worker employee which achieve success much easier than others.
Labour market helps in making choices between appealing career and different other
options available in the market. In exploration phase labour market information answer many
questions such as which kind of industry employee people as per their required skills. It also
provide insight of demand, earnings and unemployment rates in the country.
General trends that may have impact over chosen profession
A store manager within the field of sports and leisure possess a large number of roles and
responsibilities related to provision of goods and services in a manner such that they lead to
satisfaction of needs and wants of customers. A study tells that 10% of sports and leisure
management graduates pursue the courses as full-time,and half of them work and play as per
their convince. And there are postgraduate courses if gradate wants to specialise in particular
field in sports and leisure. Institute for management of sports and physical activities (IMSPA) is
one best institute where graduate can council and clear their doubts. To be a sports person person
needs to be more physically fit, energetic and enthusiastic. And if person wants to be aspiring to
become a professional trainer a individual needs to graduate and should have physical education

certificate. The future trends in sport industry are evolving rapidly as per the taste and
requirement changes in market. One of the current trends in sports industry is distribution
disruption, where media right revenue is emerging as the traditional TV business is disrupted.
Another effect of disruption is consolidation among different media companies wants to generate
more revenue. In the context of future trends, e-sports evolution have emerged by 34% in UK.
Games publishers are paying more and more to promote e-sports to youth. There is much public
relation in recent years ,because people are making enough money in e sport. Another famous
trends in sports is sponsorship and partnership, in order to secure the good relationship, top
member of company are creating more and more fan base and connive big brands to promoter
their sport to larger audience. Sports in society is one of the important factor in the future trend
of sport and leisure because what is good for society is good for the sport industry. Bonding
between sports and and society is changing faster than ever,because people are connecting
socially with sports and will remain long as society.
Skills / knowledge and experience required
There are different types of reponsibilities that are required to be performed in Sports and
Lesiure. Some of that are defined below:
Skills
Communication: This is one of the most prominent skill that are required by store
manager to have as to perform their daily basis function in well effective manner.
Persuasion: With the help of this skill store manager can able to evaluate behavioural
characteristics of consumers.
Conflict management: With the assistance of this skill store manager can able to
effectively resolve conflicts that further ensure long term sustainability.
Technical skills: Owing to the rapid advancements taken place within the confines of
Sports and Leisure sector, it is significant for travel agents to possess sound technical skills so
that they can make use of latest and emerging technologies prevailing in marketplace (Andersen,
Fisher and Nieuwenhuijsen, 2018).
Multi tasking: It is essential for store manager to perform their activities by adapting a
multi tasking nature as to effectively manager activities.

Accounting & Finance: The store manager is also required to possess knowledge of
finance in order to maintain budgetary data and statistics associated with the respective company.

Evaluation
I have just graduated and thus it is essential for me to now select a career whereby I can
showcase my skills and knowledge base in order to achieve success. You don't have to be an

athlete in order to get and job of athletes. In this type of career field is open for to all kinds of
skill person as per their choice of sports. Mindset have given away by people and accepted
various sports related activities as career option for youth. Millions of people wants to make
sports as there career because it involve lots of money and fame which seems attractive to youth.
Other than active sports men player can choose as sport journalism, fitness and health clinic as
their career options and they highly paid careers. Nowadays person with experience in sports are
offered to work as sports goods and manufacture of sport utilities or as a sport marketing head.
CONCLUSION
As per the above relevant information, is said that sports and leisure is on of the most
circuital aspect that must be considered by person while choosing their field of interest. Along
with this, it has been analysed that primary and secondary research provide aid and authenticity
information about the sport field. It has been identified that various emerging trends in sport
have increased the sports sector.
