One of the main reasons behind selecting this topic is to enhance awareness about the
equality and diversity and its benefits among societies, organizations or an individual. This
research is helpful for researcher as it assist them by boosting their research skills and
knowledge about the different ways of prompting and managing diversity and equality in
the workplace.

The role of equality and diversity in the workplace of Iceland Foods Ltd.
According to the Mayhew (2017), diversity introduces to the range of generational, ethnic
and cultural differences present within the workplace. Equality refers to the concept of
treating each and every worker with equal consideration, regardless of their gender,
disability, race, culture or any number of other factors. Equality and diversity in the
workplaces plays significant roles such as promoting innovation, increasing new skills,
opens business up to new market, improves brand image, open up a new talent, reduce
high employee turnover etc. These are major roles that help Iceland Foods Ltd in
improvement of its goodwill and image in marketplace.
Several ways for building equality and diversity at workplace of Iceland Foods Ltd.
As per the view presented by Zojceska (2018), there are number of ways that could be use
by Iceland Foods Ltd for building workplace equality and diversity. These are leverage
divers job boards, highlights diversity on career site, reward diverse referrals, put equality
policies in place, creating a workplace where different perspectives are valued and
embraced. These are considering more effective and useful ways that helps an organisation
to building diversity and equality at workplace. As it will be beneficial for Iceland Foods
Ltd by increasing creativity, profit, better decision making etc.
Challenges that could be face by Iceland Foods Ltd while building diversity and equality
at their workplace.
According to the Hood (2020), there are number of difficulties or challenges that can arise

at workplace during the establishment and maintaining of diverse workforce. These are
generation gaps, gender equality, and accommodation of beliefs, language, and
communication, ethnic and cultural differences (Biggest Diversity Issues in The
Workplace, 2020). These are considering major issues that have been faced during building
of equality and diversity at workplace. As it has negative impact over business
performance and growth of Iceland Foods Ltd.
