The study is a research project which has been carried out to identify the aspects associated with the lack of staff training at Hilton hotel and its adverse effect on the productivity of the company. The study is to be carried out as a research proposal which will be presenting the ways to carry out the primary as well as the secondary research in order to extract the data and information that could be assessed and evaluated to meet the objectives of the research. The research will further investigate how the existing employees were trained within the organisation. The research study will afterwards find out the decrement in the efficiency of the employees due to the absence of staff training which is causing the employee demotivation and hence the productivity of the firm is falling down.

2RESEARCH PROPOSALProposed Title: Lack of staff training at Hotel Hilton and its Impact on the Company's ProductivityAbstract: The quality of employee service in any hotel industry is heavily dependent on the quality of theemployees. Although Hotel Hilton is one of the most recognized hotel chains, operating globally,the company’s branch in Auckland, is encountering serious financial loss owing to lack ofemployee engagement and high rate of consumer dissatisfaction. The major reason behind theseproblems is lack of employee training opportunities at workplace, whereby the employees arefailing to enhance their professional skills. Since staff training is integral to the survival anddevelopment of Hotel Hilton, it is important to critically analyse the problem of staff training atHotel Hilton, and to offer concrete recommendations for the same. Aims and Objectives: The research intends to critically examine the problem of training needs at Hotel Hilton, byconsidering the employees’ perspectives regarding their training needs, as well as reviewing theconsumers’ response regarding the quality of service received at Hotel Hilton, Auckland. Next, itintends to offer recommendations to the management authority regarding what the action planthey can implement to arm the employees with professional knowledge, and enhance theircommunication and other soft skills. The aims of the research are as follows: To identify the training needs of the employees working at Hilton To investigate what is the existent employee training policy at the organizationTo comprehend how the absence of staff training is resulting in employee de-motivationand low productivityTo offer recommendations so that the organization can incorporate effective staff trainingpolicies in its human resource policies.
