workplace discrimination to support current investigation and achieve its objective in an
effective manner, an evaluation and discussion of which is provided below:
To have better in-depth understanding about the concept of workplace discrimination
As per the view point of Sarah Benstead, 2018, the concept of workplace discrimination
is mainly associated with the certain types of prejudices and biasness that mainly occurs when an
employee or group of employees is treated unfavourably or indifferently on the basis of their
gender, skin colour, sexuality, religion, race, pregnancy along with maternity or disability. Thus,
could be evaluated that the term discrimination in the workplace mainly takes place any kind of
favouritism is seen or when an employer discriminates and offer more opportunities and growth
to an individual against an employee in relation all the work-related decisions that consist of all
activities like hiring, firing, promotions strategy, growth opportunity and other availability of
benefits and perks for an individuals. It has been evaluated that in every organisation the
presence of workplace discrimination on various basis like gender, skin colour and other factors
is commonly seen that is not good for growth and development of an organisation as it lead to a
feeling of un-satisfactions and distrust and stress among employees that could be the main reason
for chaos and conflicts at workplace (Knights and Omanović, 2016). Thus, it has been observed
that workplace discrimination consist of all kind of favouritism and unfavourable treatment on
the basis of physical appearance or cultural background of an employees or individuals while
making various business decisions like recruitment, selection and offering growth opportunity.
To evaluate about the impact lead by skin colour discrimination on motivation level of the
employees of Aston martin
According to the view point of Tia Benjamin, 2020, the skin colour discrimination which
is also known as colorism or shadeism is mainly concerned with discrimination or a form of
prejudice from members of an organisation where employees are differently treated on the basis
of their social implications which is directly attached to their skin colour. Further, it has been
evaluated that the a very negative impact is lead by skin colour discrimination on motivation
level of the employees of any organisation like Aston martin as it lead to feeling of stress and
discomfort among the black skin employees who are being bullied or discriminated by other
employees. Favouritism and discrimination policy of organisation on the basis of colour of skin
caret a negative effect on self confidence of employees which ultimately lead to serve issues like
depression, stress and anxiety in employees (Thompson, 2017). Thus, it can be evaluated that a

negative implication is lead by skin colour discrimination on motivation level of the employees
of Aston martin through leading a feeling of dissatisfaction and de-motivation in employees. It
has been also observed that the skin colour discrimination also hamper the bonding among
employees and create a situation of chaos and conflicts that is ridiculous and un-advantageous
for motivation level of employees that lead to higher employees turnover and enhanced cost of
operations as also hamper the working flow and business activities. Thus, it can be evaluated that
skin colour discrimination could only lead to a negative impact on motivation level of employees
through facilitating feeling of stress and dissatisfaction at workplace.
To determine the possible strategies and ways that could be adopted by Aston martin to
overcome and encounter the negative impact of skin colour discrimination in order to create
equality and diversity at its workplace

could be adopted by Aston martin to overcome and encounter the negative impact of skin colour
discrimination in order to create equality and diversity at its workplace that consist of Follow of
all the equality and diversity Law along with providing better training and education to motivate
employees and managers to take initiative to stop workplace discrimination. The main strategies
that could be adopted by Aston martin to overcome and encounter the negative impact of skin
colour discrimination and lead equality at its workplace are discussed below:
Follow the Law- Overcoming or Ending workplace discrimination includes making sure
that each employees and employers must know the law and acts that are formed by government
and other legal authorities to reduce and overcome the issue of discrimination. Implication and
follow up of provisions of Equality act, 2010, and other legal laws are effective way and strategy
that could be adopted by Aston martin to reduce and overcome these issue of skin colour
discrimination and it is also effective in creating a more fair and equal workplace environment
(Vos, Çelik and de Vries, 2016).
Educate Management on Diversity and Harassment- The another step that could be
adopted by Aston martin consist of education and leading better knowledge in management and
leaders regarding the diversity and harassment issues as it makes them moiré able to motivate
employees to stop workplace discrimination. It can be evaluated that providing necessary
information to mangers about the necessity of stop discrimination is an effective way to direct

Participation of employers and employees in seminars and sensitivity workshops that focus on
cultural training are also effective way that can be adopted by Aston martin to overcome issue of
discrimination and create equality at its workplace.
Research Approach or Methodology
This section of a research work mainly indicates the various approaches and methods that
are used by an investigator to conduct a research work more effectively and in a more better way.
The various research methods and approaches are used for performing current research work on
Aston martin a description along with valid justification is provided below:
Research philosophy- The section of research methodology is bifurcated or divided into
four main types that consists of Positivism, Interpretivism, Pragmatism and Realism. Out of
these four research philosophy use of Positivism philosophy is seemed most justifiable and
appropriate for current research on Aston martin as lead to a more systematic practical and
scientific way of conducting a research. Beside this, use of Positivism research philosophy also
ensures most effective support and provide appropriate formwork for supporting quantitative
research method thus, positivism is most viable philosophy to meet objectives of current research
work (MacPherson, 2018).
Research method- The most widely used type of research method that facilitates
effective support for conduction of a research consists of quantitative and the other one is
qualitative method. Out of these two quantitative is associated with collection of research data in
statistical and numeric from where as the other one i.e. qualitative research is concerned with in-
depth study and collecting data in theoretical form (Lozano and Escrich, 2017). Thus, use of
quantitative research method is justifiable for current research work as it the one that lead to
better accomplishment of research objectives on time through leading collection of numeric data
that could be easily gathered and presented with minimum cost and time.
Research approach- It is mainly bifurcated or consists of two main types i.e. deductive
approach and inductive approach out of which adoption of deductive approach is more suitable
and justifiable for current investigation on Aston martin as it is much more concerned with
analysis, evaluation and more enhanced generalization of quantitative research method that is
adopted for current investigation.
Source of data- The two vital sources of data from where information could be collected
by an investigator consists of primary sources of data and the other is secondary source of data.

To ensures the collection of recent and most authentic data use of primary sources is made as it
is directly gathered and obtain from respondents. On other hand secondary sources of data
collection that is necessary and justifiable for yielding support for primary collection and also
lead to better support for research objectives and prove a framework for effective
accomplishment of research work.
Research strategy- The action plan and strategy for current research work on Aston martin
consists of use of survey method as resrch strategy in which use of questionnaire is most
justifiable for collection of primary data directly from respondents.
Sample method- It is a technique of selection of pre determined units of observation from a
large population to accomplish and achieve research objectives well on time. In context of
current research work a sample Size of 26 respondents is being selected from employees of
Aston martin through making use of random sampling method.
Ethical Issues
While conducting a research work many ethical issues are encountered and faced by a
researcher that consist of collection of most authentic and reliable data from respondents without
creating any threat or harm to their emotions and sentiments. Further, making use of authentic
sources of data collection is also necessary to meet the ethical consideration of investigation. To
overcome these ethical concerns all the code of conduct and research principles are implicated
and applied during current research work. Further, proper care is kept that none of research
activity or task should hurt or harm any individuals and respondents neither physically nor
emotionally. Further, all provisions of Data collection act are also meet to maintain the safety
and privacy of collected data in order to overcome all the associated ethical concerns of this
research work.
Expected Outcomes
The expected outcomes of current investigation consist of better information about the
concept of workplace discrimination that reflects the importance of creating equality and
diversity at workplace. Further, the current research would also lead to a better information about
the impact lead by skin colour discrimination on motivation level of the employees of an
organisation. Beside this, the most vital and crucial outcome of current research work consist of
information about the possible strategies and ways that could be adopted by an organisation to
