Platelet-Rich-Plasma Therapy in Skin Rejuvenation for Middle-Aged Women_2

Topic: Platelet-Rich-Plasma therapy in skin rejuvenation for middle-aged women.
INTRODUCTION
Platelet-Rich-Plasma therapy or PRP can be referred to as a rejuvenation treatment that
uses an individual’s plasma to stimulate the production of collagen and cell migration. This
allows the elimination of folds, lines as well as wrinkles on the skin. The results of Platelet-Rich
Plasma therapy is a natural looking and subtle skin and this can last for up to two years (Abd El
Wahhab and et.al., 2018). On women, PRP can help in the regeneration of the tissues, making
the skin tight and smooth. Platelet-Rich Plasma injections are used for treating muscle injuries,
joint injuries etc. and there are also certain treatments that can be done for the face such as skin
rejuvenation. The research proposal explains the impact of Platelet-Rich-Plasma therapy in skin
rejuvenation for women in the age groups of 45-65 years over a year.
Literature Review
Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy not only helps the body in creating new collagen and
elastin, but it also helps in eliminating the wrinkles, lines, stretch marks as well as acne scars.
Besides this, a PRP facial can deliver noticeable effects such as improved skin texture and tone
(Boesen and et.al., 2020). As already mentioned, PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy involves
the usage of an individual’s own plasma to stimulate the production of collagen and cell
migration. Women between the age groups of 45-65 years of age usually opt for this therapy in
order to eliminate lines, wrinkles as well as folds. This is because lines and folds are a common
sight for ageing skin and thus, filler injections are used that are redone after a particular period of
time. As per the study conducted by Marc Darrow on Platelet-rich Plasma injections for
wrinkles, it was observed that a sample of 30 participants consisting of females was taken
(Research on Platelet Rich Plasma injections for wrinkles and photo-damaged skin, 2021). One
of the strengths of this study was that with sufficient time in-hand, the researcher was able to
analyze the data collected and present the findings in a structured manner. Also, another strength
of the study was that the researcher was able to present important points such as the different
growth factors of the PRP therapy can also repair the skin that has been damaged by the sun.
The study involved the testing of different types of facial wrinkles of 20 respondents and
each one of them received single PRP injection. They were clinically assessed before receiving
