Qualitative Method
It is defined as kind of research method which is used in collecting data and information
in non-numerical form that focus on making decision for business. Such type of research helps
in answering the questions related to how and why phenomenon has occurred that ho often it
occurs (5 Types of Qualitative Research Methods, 2020). It happens through personal
experience, life story, cultural texts, case study, introspection, productions, visual text, historical,
observations and so on. Qualitative research is exploratory in nature as it gains in depth of
understanding of opinions, reasons and motivations. It is very important for secondary schools
to provide well being as well as mindfulness practices to students so that they can study in
better manner and achieve their goal and objectives. With change in time, there is rise in stress
to secondary students which impact their study as well as education to live happy life. This is
essential to understand each and every qualitative research methods which are described
below:
Ethnography- This is defined as methods that involves researcher to included them into
daily routine of life of subject matters (Frank & et. al., 2015). They can be active observer as
well as participant to experience traditions, reactions, customs and others. In context of given
research topic, researcher has to included them at secondary schools in Singapore so that they
know about how importance it is for students to posses mindfulness practices as well as well
being so that they make their career in effective manner. It is very important to use such method
by researcher to know about problems faced by secondary school students at Singapore while
they are availing education in terms of well being and practices.
Narrative- It is the qualitative method where researcher collects data and information
from two subjects through documents over period of time. As per assigned topic, answers as
well as suggestions should be derived in most proper way. Researcher uses such method to
know about challenges in terms of lack of mindfulness practices and well being faced by
secondary students who are studying at Singapore. They challenges includes high study
pressure from teacher, high stress and so on. It is also essential to analyse previous data and
statistics related with secondary school students problems so that issues can be resolved in
most effective way.
Phenomenology- Such method is used by investigator in order to study about activity
as well as events which have happened from different aspects (Hwang & et. al., 2017). They
use interviews, on sites visits, videos to know about different perspectives of users. In order to
know about perception of secondary students regarding their practices and well being for study,
interview has taken through questionnaire where both open as well as close ended questions

has been asked. The study mainly focuses on students of Singapore. The interview questions
related with assigned topic are described below:

Case Study- It is defined as method which collects in depth as well as detailed information
about given subject matter (Keng, Phang & Oei, 2015). This can be exploratory as well as
explanatory research. In case of assigned topic, it is very important for researcher to know
about different aspects like issues, challenges, benefits that are faced by secondary school
students at Singapore in terms of impacting their mindfulness and well being practices.
Therefore, after analysis of all above method, it has summarised that researcher has used
interview question methods to know about perception of secondary school students in
