INTRODUCTION
TASK A
Overview of the topic and organization
Employees of the organization are valuable assets because their efforts and contribution make possible for company to
achieve predetermined objectives and goals (Tlaiss, 2020). So to make this companies form talent strategies to attract,
retain and recruit those employees who are qualified, talented and best among different alternatives (Mensah, 2019). The
current chosen organization in the present project is Amazon. Amazon is an international multinational technology
company that primarily has focused on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, e-commerce and digital streaming. The
headquarters of Amazon is settled in Washington, United States and founded in 5 July 1994. It has number of employees
of almost 12,98,000 so to make these employees satisfied and encouraged talent management makes various strategies.

number of employees.” A study on Amazon
Research objectives:

What are the advantages and disadvantages of talent strategies in respect of business performance within Amazon?
Project Management Plan
Project management plan is one of the important aspects in planning all the resources required for conducting projects
successfully. Basically it provides all the methods, processes and procedures for attaining the desired goals and objectives
(Kivimäki and Meriluoto, 2018).
Time
Time is one of the most important components because it provides schedule of needed time to finish the whole project
(Nurre and Weir, 2017). In this starting and completion date is provided so according to that everyone could work and
place all the resources. The needed time for completion is 5 months in the present study.
Cost
It is defined as the term that shows needed funds or money to operate and carry out all the activities. For this ap-
propriate budget is made of £500 to attain all the pre-defined objectives in successful manner.

Risk
It is defined as unknown factor that could cause issues and barriers in completion of the project. In this research
also makes backup plan so that if one plan fails than another one could use without wasting time and other resources.
Resources
Resources are very helpful things in supporting the project. Every project requires resources that should be
planned in advance and developed. Funds, human resources, machines and time are the most important required resources
in the present project (Lock, 2020).
Scope
It refers to the functions and features that need to be met while conducting the project. The predefined goals, re-
sources and time are discussed for the study. Basically it takes plans, procedures, activities and objectives to carry out the
study in an effective manner.
Work breakdown structure
It is the structure that is used to take out every activity towards fulfilling every pre-defined goal and objective. It breaks
down every activity into smaller tasks because smaller tasks are easier to achieve. It is also used because it helps in
measuring the progress (Al Farizi and Latief, 2018).
Gantt chart
Gantt chart is the timeline of projects. It is being divided into two sections, in one section all the activities are mentioned
and in other section time needed to complete specific activity is mentioned. This graphical representation of activities
helps researcher in tracking the work and completing it in time (Brčić and Mlinarić, 2018).

METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is one of the significant chapters for the successful collection of information related to the topic. It
helps in collecting appropriate information as per the requirement of research (Becker, 2017).
Research Philosophy
It refers to that section of the chapter that helps in successful evaluation of gathered information. It is divided into
positivism and interpretivism research philosophy. In the present research positivism philosophy is selected because it
focuses on evaluation of gathered quantitative data (Brooks, R., Lainio and Lažetić, 2020).
It does the evaluation of data without taking longer period of time and the output gets is valid. Interpretivism is not se-
lected because it does not support the aim of the research in right manner.
Research Approach
It is considered as essential part of the research methodology and it has two important approaches that are inductive and
deductive. For the current project, researcher has selected deductive approach for evaluating information about the talent
management strategies for retaining and attracting employees. It has been selected because it evaluates the numerical
information gathered from selected respondents (Moon and et. Al., 2019).
Research Strategy
In the research methodology there are multiple research strategies like action research, experiment, case study, survey etc.
Survey is considered as research strategy for the present project because it does not create higher cost, gives accurate

statistical information and provides great results (Mikolajewicz and Komarova, 2019). All these advantages have
ultimately assisted in attaining every objective in positive manner.
Research choice
It is that kind of research methodology that assists researcher in determining the type of data to be gathered. It is classified
into two parts that are quantitative and qualitative research choice. In the present research, researcher has taken help of
quantitative research choice because it facilitates in collection of numerical data. Numerical data is considered as more
valid as compared to qualitative research choice (Webb and Welsh, 2019).
Data collection
Data collection is the method of collecting all the required information for achieving the objectives of research. It focuses
on collecting data that is valid, accurate and relevant to the achievement of objectives. Primary and secondary are the
types of data collection. In the present research process both are selected for gathering needed information. Primary data
collection helps in collecting first-hand information directly from sources like participants and so on. Questionnaire is
used for collecting primary data in successful manner (Tarrant, 2017). Secondary data collection is the source of gathering
existing data from sources like books, journals, articles newspapers, publications and business sites. Secondary
information has been collected for successful completion of answering all the questions of research.
Sampling
Sampling is the process of identifying representatives for the collection of data. The two types of sampling are probability
and non-probability sampling (Hua and et. Al., 2018.). In order to achieve objectives of present research, researcher has
shown dependence on probability sampling because it facilitates in choosing more number of respondents in comparison
to non-probability sampling. 30 employees are selected as participants because they are the people who closely observe
every activity of the organization.
Evidence of primary research and secondary research for the generation of knowledge
Primary research is taken out by the assistance of instrument known as questionnaire. 30 employees have been
asked questions regarding the topic that is talent strategies for retaining and attracting employees in the organization.
