INTRODUCTION
From last many decade, information and communication technology provides
increasingly large competence to society. In the same way, advance technology plays a vital
role in order to sustain the brand image of a business. In different workplaces companies uses
digital platform in order to improve the business operation. Hence, in the same way, current
study is also focused upon digital technology and how it benefit to professionals in workplace
and organization.
MAIN BODY
Digital technology are electronic tools, device and resources which generate and
process data. For example social media, online games and mobile phones etc. Also, it enables
different amount of information which can be compressed on small storage device that can be
easily preserved and transported. In addition to this, digital technology further transformed
how people communicate, learn and work. So, society and companies are benefitted by using
digital technology, along with offer various learning opportunities as well. Hence, variety of
organizations recruit experts and professionals who possesses strong ability of digital
technology that directly cause positive impact upon business.
Therefore, it is clearly reflected that role of digital technology at workplace is
important because more than billions of people uses Internet and it is also estimated that by
2025, every company implement digital technologies that assist to improve the overall
business operations (Sternard, 2020). As technology has taken center stage and there
is a continuous shift in the workplace which is enhances by development of cloud based
collaboration tools along with increased use of technology. Secondary research also reflected
that 79% of senior manager believe that digital technology promote them to work anywhere
at anytime, whereas 86% of the professionals though that most of the successful companies
would be willing to make transformation. So, it is examine that there are many advantages of
using technology at workplace such that improve communication. In big firms, there are
variety of virtual communication tools exist and it allow employees to communicate in
different ways. Implementing technology at workplace will help professionals to increase
efficiency and productivity because it permits interaction between employees and employers.
Apart from this, with the help of effective digital technology, professionals encourage
innovation and creativity so that they access to different business technology tools which

assist to increase efficiency. Hence, offering new technology will assist to enable employees
to product better work in order to encourage healthy competition as well. Professionals uses
digital technology such that social media in order to grab attention of many customers
towards it. Such that they design the blogs and advertisement in unique manner that assist to
improve the results and meet the business objectives as well. The tools are assist
professionals to discover opinion and research on specific topic that assist to implement
strategy for business success. Also, it helps to increase the knowledge and skills of
professional which further used in their career path as well. Cottrell and Morris (2012) also
stated that there is a need to adopt the digital workplace because of increasing employee
engagement which in turn takes a business at further level of success.
Apart from this, professionals at workplace uses different digital technology that
brings teammates near and far together with communication software. Such that due to the
pandemic time, most of the organization’s professional uses Zoom and Slack that helps to
improve the team productivity (Abadi, Dirani and Barhate, 2020). It is determine that
communication crucial for improve the proficiency of team. Hence, installing different
application will help to improve the performance and boost the internal communication as
well. In manufacturing industry, every second is important and that is why professionals use
digital technology in order to make every second count using time tracking tools i.e. Toggl.
Through this tool, company solve the problem of low productivity and also allow to enter,
start and stop tracking task quickly (Evers, Cunningham and Hoholm, 2014). This in turn
assist to manage workflow of whole team and getting in-depth insights on profitability of a
company as well. So, it is clearly reflected that using digital technology lead to improve the
overall performance and complete the task within a short time as well.
On the other side, professional use cloud based project as a digital technology in order
to stay organized across workflows. Top companies like Google, Microsoft uses cloud to
manage the workload as well as improve the productivity of a business as well. Beside this,
companies operating under retail sector are also uses digital technology such that Tesco,
Marks and Spencer uses range of social media marketing that helps to attract range of
workers towards it. Hence it is clearly analyzed that with the help of effective digital
technologies professionals tries to provide a positive working environment to their employees
and this in turn leads a business towards further level of success (Briken and et.al., 2017).
Moreover, it is analyzed that range of technologies are implemented by the professionals in
order to improve the business operations. Such that robots are used by the hospitality industry

in order to provide effective customer service and this in turn improve the overall brand
image of a company in better manner.
In addition to this, Internet of Things is another different digital technology that helps
to provide all the offered product and services to customer easily and this in turn assist
professionals to increase the brand image and draw attention of many customers towards it as
well. This is also supported by Hatlevik and Christophersen (2013) that with the help of
advance technology company is able to opening the door of globalization and employee
engagement as well. With the help of digital transformation, organizations are completely
change and this in turn leads to improve the greater resource management as well. For
example, Tesco is operating at different countries and that is why, it recruit the employees by
using online screening (using specific application). This in turn helps HR professionals to
save time and select the best candidate who promote the business at further level of success
(Asi and William, 2020). Therefore, it is critically evaluated that some time, professionals did
not identify the best candidate due to not implementing any digital technology and this in turn
affect the business performance as well.
Professionals of top companies are uses digital technology in order reduce the
operating cost and improve efficiency as well. Such that it enable the efficient cost
management which implies more effective control upon the sales and production that assist to
creates more revenue sources as well. So, it is reflected that if professionals encourage the
digital culture then it assist to improve the employee performance and also take a business at
further level of success. Hence employee also learn different things and improve their
learning which will assist in their future career path as well. So having a new digital
workplace will lead a business towards further level of success and also improve the overall
business operations in positive manner (Guruprasad and Murty, 2020). On the other side, in
education industry professionals uses digital technology in order to keep, store the document
that helps to run operations in smooth manner. Also, most of them offer online classes that
helps to adjust the time as per the student’s flexibility. So, it is analyzed that professionals
and student within education sector are benefitted by implement the advance technology at
workplace.
On contrary side, there are many challenges which organization face in the context of
digital technology. Such that most of them do not have experts or professionals who knows
how to run a system and that is why, they do not implement any technology. Moreover, it is

also examine that professionals understand the global complexity and also creates solution by
using such tools into the workplace by complying with real world experience. Also, with the
help of virtual simulation most of the professionals support the business to meet the define
aim and target with a specified deadline as well. As compared to past time, companies and
professionals are relied upon manual data, but with the evolution of modern era, every
company focused upon the ways through which they take a business at different level in order
to stay ahead at competition (Stroud and Weinel, 2020). Hence, to minimize the gap between
the times, it is essential to use digital technologies by professionals in order to meet the
demand of customers. Also, this provide great access to professionals and customer to access,
create and participate in global digital media culture as well.

implementing digital technologies assist to improve the overall performance of a company
and engage the employee towards work as well.
