TOPIC
“To investigate different ways through which awareness about diabetes can be raised
among young pregnant mothers”.
INTRODUCTION
Diabetes introduces as a condition in which human body can't produce enough insulin.
Insulin refers as a hormone that allows glucose to come in the cells to be applied as fuel. Main
purpose of this report is to analyse different ways through which awareness about diabetes can
be raised among young pregnant mothers. During pregnancy, the placenta supplies a increasing
fetus with water and nutrients. The placenta also creates a different variety of hormones in order
to maintain or keep the pregnancy. In early stage of pregnancy, hormones can grounds
maximised insulin secretion and reduced glucose delivered by the liver, which can track to low
blood glucose levels.
Where Will Research Take Place:
This research is essential for those young mothers who have lack of knowledge about
development of diabetes in during the time of pregnancy. Thus, with the help of this study, they
can easily understand about the development of diabetes and its impacts on them during
pregnancy.
Research Importance
a) This research is most essential and important for young mothers who have poor
understanding about the diabetes's development in during the time period of pregnancy.
Therefore, with the assist of this topic, young pregnant mother can easily understand about the
problem of high blood sugar on their unborn baby (Gray and et. al., 2017). Along with this, level
of high blood sugar in during the time of pregnancy and labor increase the risk or difficulty for
development of baby. Thus, this research highly support the young mothers by raising awareness
about the development of diabetes and its impact on them and on their unborn baby.
b) This research is mainly related with the society because young pregnant mother is a
part of society. Due to this, a researcher can easily rise awareness about the development of
diabetes between young mothers during pregnancy. It will also increase awareness about this
topic among entire society.

LITERATURE REVIEW
A literature review is an effective type of review articles which includes current
knowledge about methodological and theoretical contributions to a specific topic (Mitanchez and
et. al., 2015). Main purpose of literature review is to gain actual understanding of existing
debates and research relevant to a specific area of study. In this section, all research questions are
address and identify view point of authors about the topic.
Concept of diabetes during pregnancy
According to the Lindsay McKillop, 2016, Diabetes introduces as a common long-term
health issue caused by too much level of glucose in the blood.
According to the Lucile Packard, 2018, Diabetes is a serious long term condition in
which body cannot control the level of sugar in proper manner. It is the most common medical
complication for young mothers during pregnancy, representing approx 3.3% of all live births.
Different ways through which awareness about diabetes can be raised between young
pregnant mothers.
There are different ways through which awareness regarding diabetes can be raised
among young mothers during pregnancy. Some effective and useful ways are determine as
under:
According to the Zhao, (2015), Join social media campaign is an essential way of rising
awareness about the diabetes among young mothers during the period of pregnancy. Social
media also help a young pregnant mother to understand about the impact of high blood surge on
their baby.
According to the Wenger, N., (2015) Educate young pregnant mother about diabetes
basics including symptoms, statistics and the significance or early detection. They can do this via
a different number of multi-channel communications covering posters, handouts, website
marketing, social media and on-hold messaging.
Importance of raising awareness about diabetes in young pregnant mothers.
According to the Lucy Anne, (2012), awareness is highly essential and important for
those young pregnant mothers who have lack of knowledge about Symptoms of diabetes such as
increased thirst, Frequent urination, Extreme hunger, Unexplained weight loss, Presence of
ketones in the urine , Fatigue, Irritability, Blurred vision, Slow-healing sores and frequent
infections i.e. gums or skin infections and vaginal infections.
