Introduction
Human resource management is the process of managing Manpower and other
resources within an organisation. It consists of using manpower and other required resources in
such a way that they will provide maximum profit for company (Radonić and Milosavljević,
2019). Human resource departments are engage to handle all activities like hiring of skilled
employees, managing performance of employees, distributing resources on the basis of
requirement, solving all issues and problems which act as obstacle in completing any task and
many more. Morrison is the British supermarket chain which is founded in the year 1899 by
William Morrison. It’s headquartered is presented in Bradford, England, UK. Their main
products to sell are food and drinks, clothing, books and etc. The following report cover HR
issues and challenges of an company and the ways to overcome with them, responsibility of
relevant HRM function in solving the issues and challenges, comparison of two different
companies for their HRM issues and ways of overcoming with their main issues and at the end
this report cover suggestions and recommendations for the mentioned company.

Human resources are considered one of the important functions of an organisation.
Every organisation must have to work on their strategies building because Human Resources is
considered Human Capital of the organisation (Saengchai, Joemsittiprasert and Jermsittiparsert,
2020). HR plays a crucial role in the strategies forming of the organisation, HR having the tools
that makes the working policies for the company, as per the context of Morrison. Morrison is one
of the biggest supermarket chain in the UK there are having the large number of the human
capital work under the Morrison. Morrison identified the different aspects for their staff to train
them and motivate them towards the work and achieve the target. They have identified the
elements by which they can motivate their employees. Morrison always stated their employees
are their main assets they are human capital. They use the various methods for the recruitment.
