tourists, the resorts and spa industry has observed a bloom in line with the market requirement.
Depending on the requirements of the international tourists the resort industry is developing.
However, the places like Sydney, Melbourne and other major cities are tourist destinations for
national tourists also. Thus it must be said that the there has been a gradual yet revolutionary
change in spa and resort industry with globalization.
The urbanization and civilization has impacted the industry grossly in order to meet the
market requirements. The countrymen of Australia have been very keen of travelling from the
very days of their settlement which gave push to the development of travel and tourism within
the country. 1830s observed the birth of tourism sector in the country and the following decade
seen the growth of resort and spa industry (Jeans, 2010). The development of transportation has
further encouraged the growth of the tourism sector which in turn enhanced the growth of the spa
