INTRODUCTION Resource and talent planning refers to the important function of every organisation that includes coordination between Human resource department and other department in order to identify requirement of resources within the company. It alsocontributes in maintaining talent in company for future recruitments(Armstrong and Taylor, 2014). The current project is based on Dell, a large scale computer technology organisation which produces, repairs, sell and support computer associated product and services. DELL is a U.S based company incorporated in the year 1984 and offers its products and services world wide. This report is divided into three different sections. Part 1, will describe about current labour market trends and legal requirement thatinfluencesworkforceplanning.Italsoelaborateaboutcurrentand anticipatedskills requirements. In Part 2, description will be given about different documentation and processes that leads to effective recruitment and selection. In the last part, human resource life-cycle will going to be explained as per HR strategy. PART 1- LABOUR MARKET AND SKILLS ANALYSIS Overview of company and different types of labour requirements Dell is US based multinational computer technology company that offers high quality of computer associated products and services worldwide. It is one among the largest technological enterprise which has workforce of around 145000 that manages its business within US as well as across the nation. This company is famous for its continuous based innovations in electronic commerce and supply chain management. Some major offerings of this company are servers, Television, Smartphones, Personal computers and Peripherals. Workforce planning is termed as most essential role of human resource department of every sector organisation. In context to DELL, it has been analysed that this company has various types of labour requirements such as employees, independent contractors and others (Briscoe, Tarique and Schuler, 2012). All three of them are described as below: Employees:HR manager of DELL requires employees for executing their operational activities within the company. Some of common department in Dell are software development, research and development, administrative department, human resource management etc. All of these department requires adequate number of workforce for accomplishing organisational goals.
