INTRODUCTIONBusiness law and ethics can be defined the law which set the outline under whichbusiness activity is to be carried on. This both term is necessary in practical life because itdecided that an organisation need to do for earning maximum amount of profit. Business law isalso known as commercial and mercantile law(Kono, Hiscock and Reich, 2018). In context ofthe file, the discussion will be upon legal principles relevant to the given case scenario. Inaddition, discussion will also relate to the ways through which problem can be solved which hasoccurred in the case.MAIN BODYCase StudyThe given case study is related with William Abong and Billabong Australian Ltd. Inthis, William Abong along with his family emigrated from Kenya to Australia where he himselfenrolled in the university. To finance his study, he started the business company called WilliamAbong Pvt Ltd where he used the technique of previous occupation i.e., tailor. In order toincrease the attraction of the customer Abong gave unusual name to his brand as “Bill Abong”. Itwas found that one William gave the brand name he was hardly able to fulfil the demand ofcustomer. The case twisted when it is founded that Billabong Australia Ltd is already one of thecompany of Australia which also deals in the similar market. Billabong Australia Ltd is notsatisfied with the business strategy of William Abong. So, they requested William abong to stopthe sale of their product but he did not accept the proposal and said that he had never heard aboutthe company before any he doesn’t have any kind of those intention.Competition and Consumer Act 2010This is one of those law which has been commenced by the Parliament of Australiawhere major focus is to promote and provide fair and competition trade in the market place.These law beings with the schedule 2 where section 18 defines that any of the person should notengage in such kind of business activities which create unnecessary problem for any of theconsumer(Gooding, 2016). Consumer law covers the part where it describes about what are thespecific area in which any of the business activities can be performed and what can be done inaddition.
