Muriel’s wedding is one of the famous film which was produced in the year of 1994
in September. The casting of the film were Toni collate, Rachael griffins, Daniel lapaine, bill
hunter, Sophie lee and many more. Muriel’s wedding is also known as one of the famous
romantic comedy and is also lovable by all. The rom com film was a hit among the people.
The film Muriel’s wedding was basically a document relating to the life of Australian
referencing the injuries of the disability, corruption, regional divide, class and abuse. The
original director was PJ Hogan. The heroine of the story Muriel at first was shown to be
badly hurtled and was shown to be healed by the platonic love. The film showed that Muriel
is trapped in an abusive home and then her opportunities to ton escape gor seized. She was
trapped in an abusive family and then failed to escape. She was also present in the toxic
social environment. It was shown that Muriel steals money from her father and whose entire
career was based on corruption and graft. She then later also agrees to be the part of a sham
marriage. Muriel also known to have lied to her parents and started believing in all the
nonsenses (Pickering, 2018). Muriel’s wedding is also known to be a feminist movie. The
main character of the film Muriel is known to have to travel to the journey towards
empowerment. She was also shown to forging friendship with someone who knows to have
respected and valued her. Muriel also stood up to her abusive father let go the fictional
marriage and then decided to stay on a harbour with a rich and handsome guy (Hogan, 2018).
While passing in to womanhood Muriel realized that friendships are which friendships are
true and which are not. She also dreamt of her mom being young and beautiful. Muriel
wedding is known to be an Australian comedy drama which was both written and directed by
P.J Hogan. The movie basically focuses on the awkward heroine of the film Muriel whose
goal was to have a glamorous wedding. She also dreamt of improving her life from moving
away from her abusive dad in the home to Sydney. The film however, received many

have snobby friends who are Cheryl, Tania and Janine. Muriel is also known to be a very big
daydreamer who dreams about glamorous weddings with a man who will take her way from
her abusive dad at home. It was known that he can make her life beautiful by taking her away
to the famous tourist tone of Porpoise Spit. Her father Bill as a corrupt politician who
verbally lashes his depressed wife Betty along with her children. After all this when Muriel
attended the wedding of Tania and Chook, she saw Chook making out with Nicole. Toni
Collette lays a character in the film as Muriel He slop. Muriel’s friend accused her of stealing
wedding dress (Pickering, 2018). After that Muriel’s friend have broken friendship with her
and went away to Hibiscus Island for enjoyment. After all these circumstances Bill recruits
Muriel who has done a course cosmetics pyramid scheme. After that when provides a blank
cheque to Muriel to draw money in to the scheme, instead of that Muriel withdraws $1200
and went to Hibiscus Island to meet her friends. After being insulted in hibiscus island Muriel
rank back to Rhonda who was also known to have being bullied by Tania. After that there
had been a physical fight which resulted between Tania and Nicole (Hogan, 2018). After all
this circumstances Muriel left for Sydney where she used to stay with Rhonde by changing
her name. at Sydney she is also known o have got a new job at a video store and started
dating a man named Brice Nobes. After few days when her boyfriend fell down and got
paralysed she wanted to call her agents at home realising that the Australian police was after
her dad who was accused of corruption. After Muriel learnt that Rhonda has been suffering
from a dreadful tumour, she used her health crises to obtain a photo shoot from the bridal
shop. Then she also promised Rhonda to take care of her health whenever she needs. As
Rhone health was getting worse she became paralysed, Muriel who was desperate enough to
get married ran away with a South African swimmer so that she can stay in Australia and also
compete in the upcoming Olympics. At Muriel’s wedding, her friends became her bridesmaid
except for Nicole and Rhonda. After all this things Muriel shifted back to Porpoise Spit along

with her mother as she could no longer survive in Sydney alone. After that David also leaves
her. Realising her constant marginalisation broke Betty's will to live, Muriel breaks down.
After all this David comes back to the life and ten consummate their marriage. After her
mother’s death, Muriel had to look at the harder side of the life and finally she divorced
David wishing her luck in the Olympics. Bill then comes to Muriel and started staying with
her. He started staying with Muriel and also help Muriel in helping with her siblings.
Patriarchy is behind the major factor behind Muriel’s dad. Bill Heslop exemplifies a
particularly Australian strain of toxic masculinity. He is also known to be a corrupt, cruel and
abusive to his wife and children. However, at last Muriel states that she does not wants to
keep with her dad. The reason behind this was that he was emotionally abusive to her and her
siblings (Kooyman, 2017). Muriel was endearing and ironical in nature. The movie does a
great job by showing that she rules of porpoise spit prohibiting the weirdness, spunk and her
existence. The film also receives both positive and negative critics from the viewers. the film
also known to have received several nominations which includes Golden Globe Award
nomination for the best actress. Muriel’s wedding is also known to be a rom com drama.
Socially awkward Muriel Heslop who was played by Toni Collette also wants nothing except
for getting married. However, due to her oppressive politician father, Muriel could never
attend any kind of date. Muriel will be visiting Rhonda at the mother house. At last we see
that Rhonda and Muriel ran away with Rhonda to live a promising future. After her death
Muriel was depressed and then she also promised to take care of Rhonda. Muriel Heslop

salvation comes in to the plot in differe3nt form. The friendship with Rhonde and Muriel is
known to be organic, true and also affirming. Rhonda with irresistible honesty and humour.
In the end th3e movie shows that the Muriel and Rhonde rescue themselves each
other. The film Muriel’s wedding is a reminder that the female friendship are pull them
through. The film is a searing document of the life of Australia referencing the injuries of

feminist masterpiece which is quite relevant. Muriel also lives with the family in the Porpoise
Spit. Muriel’s wedding was therefore a hit film. Muriel also begin the film as an overweight
loser from Queensland. The movie moves credits, wedding and affairs quite fast. Muriel also
loves the music of ABBA who is also the target of ridicule by her friends Tania, Cheryl and
Janine. Muriel is also known as the daydreamer who yearns for a kind of glamorous wedding.
Muriel’s father Bill is also known to be a corrupt man. Muriel immediately also leaves the
house and then moves back to Sydney. In the film Muriel’s wedding it is show that a socially
inept young woman then slowly learns to overcome all her securities in this film from

bride. Muriel’s life became better when her best friend Rhonda came in to her life. At last the

also used to feel rejected by her friends and family. She used to believe herself worthless and

At last when Rhonda had cancer, Muriel left her when she was paralysed and needed severe
surgeries. Muriel’s Wedding is also known to be hysterically funny, fresh along with
brimming with wit. The film is the comedy hit which is celebrated by the critics in the
nationwide. The film was shows that very few people paid attention to Muriel along with her
humdrum small town life. The last part shows both the best friends, Muriel and Rhonda
leaves the place behind and head for the big city.
