the safety precautions provided may be dismissed from their work station to avoid the risk of
them causing self-injury or the injury of other workers. The risks involved include:

METHOD STATEMENT
Description of the work
Existing power circuits will be tested using specific testing equipment and those found
not to be functioning will be replaced with new ones
New heating and lighting circuits will be installed
Lightning panels will be installed
Suitable hours in which the site can be accessed to be discussed with the client
Order of Activities as they will be conducted
a. A work permit is to be obtained
b. Warning signs are put at areas where work is ongoing
c. The existing circuits are examined using accurate equipment

d. Disconnecting and removing obsolete power circuits
e. Installing three compartment trunking in and power circuit to power the kitchen
f. Install lightning panels to the suspended ceiling
g. Modify power circuits to suit builder’s works
h. Install lighting and heating circuits to disabled toilets
i. The workplace is to be cleaned after every work day
j. Tools and equipment used and excess material is to be removed from the work place after
completion of the work.
