Basically, thework of both is to achieve the goals of the organization but the difference lies in the authorities2
and the way of working, areas of focus and the ideas of completing the task. Basically, we cansay that the manager is concerned with the task to be completed with the time and the leaderplans the work strategy to get his team to work to complete the task as per the guidelines aregiven by the managers. A manager has powers and authorities higher than the leader. He canmake use of his powers but the leader has the skills to make people follow him at their own will.LO1: Differentiation between the role of a leader and a manager:The Manager responsibility is to represent the organization The Manager role is to communicatewith the outside resources and to guide each department of Holborn for the better performance ofthe company. The leader is also the representative of the organization (Barratt et al. 2011, p.332).
