Many firms have used different technologies for the growth of a business.
Business Process Management (BPM) is necessary to align most of the business
strategies. In addition, BPM has used for managing various processes of business
of a firm. Businesses can be managed using various functions. Moreover,
engineering applications can be useful in the management of business functions.
There are many benefits of technological innovations in the business, ass it has
provided better outcomes. Most of the processes are based on the data and
information, which are necessary to manage in a proper manner. Artificial
Intelligence (AI) makes a huge impact on the BPM, which is necessary for
improvement. Data can be managed using Big Data (BD) and other technologies
in a proper manner. Moreover, it has increased the scope of the business
processes. Besides, the Internet of Things (IoT) has provided various ways to
improve business process management. This paper will provide the impact of AI
on BPM. It will compare the various perspectives of business processes and
emerging technologies. This paper will explain the role of IoT in business process
management. It will provide critical analysis of BPM and the digital era, which will
be used to improve the profit of a firm.
Literature Review
Many businesses have grown in the industry because of technological
innovations and emerging technologies. AI has affected many businesses in a
different industry, such as retails, education, and many others. Most of the
industries have used basic technologies for business management. However,
advanced technologies have made more impact on the businesses as well
(Chang, 2011). There are various perspectives in the market for increasing
business in different market segments. There is a common thing in the growth of
various businesses, which is innovations. However, it was based on technologies
and other things. Business management can be better with the help of AI and
other technologies (Draheim, 2010).
Many processes are based on the technologies, as an example, the retail
business has used technologies in supply chain and other things. It has improved
the performance of a system, which is good for firms and consumers. Business
Intelligence (BI) has used for managing various things in an efficient manner, as
it has provided data analytics services for a firm, which is based on Big Data (BD)

provide support to manage a large amount of data in a structured manner. Cloud
Computing (CC) has used for improving the business processes, which is good for
the improvement of the business processes. BPM software is better after
including various technologies, such as CC, AI, BI, BD, and many more. BPM
applications have required better user interfaces, which makes work easier for
manners in a firm (Ullah & Lai, 2011).
In addition, AI can improve the current process of a firm using technological
innovations and other techniques, which will improve performance and
efficiency. Moreover, basic things are necessary to manage changes in the
operations of a firm, which are good from the progressive point of view. In
addition, performance management is necessary for a firm, which will provide
many advantages to the firm (Glykas, 2011). Performance management can be
easy with the help of technologies.
