Introduction
Information and communication technology is regarded as an effective approach that
significantly allows individuals to obtain information, to interact with one another properly and
also to have an overall environmental impact (Ouherrou, Elhammoumi&Benmarrakchi, 2019).
Individuals with disabilities receiving ICT oriented services get an education along with their
age-related peers in general classroom only. ICT typically provides the students with learning
disabilities with access to general academic curriculum in order to meet their individual needs
(Benmarrakchi et al., 2017). On today's date ICT is regarded as a significant tool that fosters both
bits of knowledge as well as ventured co-learning in kindergarten days (Kokkalia&Drigas,
2015). However, this particular education concept is remarkably distinct from the general
academic movement (Papanastasiou et al., 2018). ICT provides the assistance of efficient
educators who put their diligent efforts in guiding the kids with learning problems. The
successful guidance will not be possible if they do not provide adequate time to assist the needy
students with proper planning (Kara & Cagiltay, 2017). Also, they should develop healthy
rapport to guide them in their daily activities (Theodorou&Drigas, 2017).
Secondly, in the very early phase of childhood education, ICT might involve hardware as well as
software methods, video cameras, digital services, internet, programmable devices,
telecommunication tools and many more of the similar sort (Benmarrakchi et al., 2017). This
study outlines the role of ICT in case of adolescents with learning dysfunction along with an
elaborative literature review to throw light on previous research activities.
Literature review
A detailed literature review considering multiple varied sourced studies on this particular topic
was conducted to cast light on this ambiguous area. There is an emerging recognition of the
diverse roles of ICT to transform the experiences of LD children in their early education settings.
Many shreds of literature have shown the enormous significance of this very approach especially
in pre-school kids having memory difficulties (Drigas, Kokkalia&Lytras, 2015). The methods
used in this very study depict certain technological breakthroughs. In another study, the
challenges that follow managing kids with learning disabilities by ICT have been narrated with

the sole intent of finding justified solutions (Adebisi, Liman&Longpoe, 2015). Another piece of
literature has categorically outlined the efficacy of ICT to evaluate the learning pattern of
dyslexic students. ICT can remarkably aid and reinforce their learning process (Benmarrakchi et
al., 2017).This literature took into account the different learning patterns of the kids using Kolb’s
learning model, VARK learning of perception etc. The next study discusses certain influencing
factors pertaining to the role of ICT during adolescence in Belgium to obtain a broader
perspective of this particular education method (Kerckaert, Vanderlinde& van Braak, 2015).Each
study focuses primarily on how ICT inculcates learning in adolescents along with the descriptive
methods; that is they share a common theme. Another study shows the utility of ICTin a
healthcare setting for children with physical, learning and also sensory dysfunctions
(Papanastasiou et al., 2018).Only this article depicts the role of ICT in a slightly different health
care area. Finally, another important piece of literature was chosen from multiple articles that
provide a brief elaboration of ICT and its usefulness in 2 special school kids in Melbourne
(Adam &Tatnall, 2017).
Gap in literature
The prospective gaps from the literature review might not be that apparent. However, most of the
literature’s methodologies deal with technological services including the internet. This imposes a
huge risk security risk to gain easy access to personal details. Secondly, not much research work
is available that identifies the causative determinants influencing ICT in the education of kids
having learning disabilities. However, in the existing shreds of literature, there is an unclear
consensus regarding the introduction of ICT in childhood and whether it needs to be effectively
grounded in a concise understanding of the current practices, purposes and above all its’ social
context (Papadakis, Kalogiannakis & Zaranis, 2016). Therefore it is exclusively important that
special attention is given on recognizing the potent factors. This aspect would eventually help
researchers to explore a new paradigm in the area of ICT related research investigations.
Most of the previous piece of literature depicted research activities in the developed and a few
developing countries. But it is highly solicited that similar research gets conducted in Asian
countries as well that will aid researchers to acquire thorough knowledge about the same from
diverse background and not simply from school children. Therefore, this literature impeccably
