Introduction:
Mega projects are defined as the large scale projects based on infrastructure related to
transport, or any other sectors such as education, information and communication technology or
any environment related projects. There are several methods by which public participation is
taken into account based on the development of the mega developments while assessing its
effectiveness at different levels.

carrying out any megaproject within the metropolitan cities. As a means to it, the paper

projects while bringing in sharp focus to the special issues that are being faced. The
results that have been produced in this paper are taken from the research project of
“Chance2Sustain”. With the increase in the building of the mega projects, different policy
makers are undertaking several forms of investments to scale up the global infrastructure
so as to meet the basic requirements of housing and conveyance.

sustainable value for the stakeholders who are tangled with the mega projects.
Megaprojects bear a lot of social as well as extensive responsibilities throughout the
entire lifecycle of the projects posing great challenges for governing the social, economic
as well as environmental issues that are involved with it.
