Task 33.1 Evaluating the impact of different kinds of ownership on management of heritageThere are basically two types of ownership of thecultural and heritage sites, one is the publicly owned andthe other one is the commercial owned. The privateowned cultural and heritage sites includes nationalmuseums, archeological sites, libraries, archives and soon, such sites are basically profit oriented. On the otherhand, such sites can often organize fundraising eventsfor the welfare of the society (Du Cros and McKercher,2015, p.159). Cultural and heritage sites owned by thepublic include archives, national parks orphanage. Theprimary aim of such sites is conservation andpreservation. The public sites can also raise a fundraising events and allowing open access to the heritagesites.The impact of such ownership is that, the public ownedsites assures proper management and proper funding forthe preservation of national treasures and heritage. Asmentioned by Ashworth and Larkham (2013, p.258), thepublic ownership guarantees the sustainability of thecultural and heritage sites. Whereas, the governmentownership assures the funding and the sustainability ofthe site is well maintained. The mere existence of suchownership does not guarantee the preservation of thecultural heritage. Proper coordination andimplementation of different projects can lead to decreaseThe heritage and cultural industry are well managed by different styles of ownership that are different interms of their individual roles and responsibilities. These responsibilities relates to the management ofthe heritage and cultural sites. As the tourists that visit sch place are diversified in nature their search forculture and heritage also differs for the same place. Thus, it depends on the tourist guides and suchcompanies to take high care of the raised query from their tourists. However, the major responsibilitiesof tourism companies mark for the preservation, conservation and management related activities ofcultural and heritage resources. The following are different ownership with their responsibilities:English Heritage: They aim to pretext the natural environment into nation. Moreover, maintain ancientmonuments to protect the history are also performed by them.National Trust: They are responsible to the protection of environmental and cultural treasures ofspecific region. This further makes them assured about the protection of historically important item ofcultural heritage.Heritage Lottery Fund: They are responsible to raise fund by National Lottery and utilise to makedifference for people across the UK and communities.3.2 Analysing the roles and responsibilities of organizations in heritage and culturalhistoryWWF: They work for issues related to conservation,research and restoration of environment and areresponsible to stop degradation of planet’s naturalenvironment.Historic House Association: They are responsible forthe promotion of specialist and technical advices forits member house.
