The assignment provides information about the roles and responsibilities of Marketing
Manager of Just Eat Company. It will show the inter-connection of Marketing Manager with the
other departments that is human resource, finance, production, customer service and public
relations.

Responsibilities of Marketing Manager
The description of the roles and responsibilities of marketing manager of Just Eat
Company are discussed as under: Market research: This is done to increase current demand of the products of Just Eat
Company, Marketing Manager works upon new areas of selling products and managing
innovation. It will increase the market share of the products of this company and will
maintain the relationship among the existing market (What Are the Functions of a
Marketing Manager or Officer?, 2019). Product Evaluation: By passing of time, there must be some modifications in old
products and new launches must be done by Just Eat Company. The modifications are to
be carried out by the marketing manager by analysing the taste and preferences of the
customers (Kotler, 2012). So, evaluating needs of making changes in product change is
the core responsibility of marketing manager to meet customer expectation. Developing Marketing Campaigns: It is also the responsibility of Marketing Manager to
develop marketing campaigns so that the customers can be easily targeted towards the
product. In addition to this, it will also help in turning the potential customers in to the
real customers. The Sales of Just Eat company will also increase by developing
marketing campaigns.
Interrelation and Influence of Marketing with other Functional Departments
The interrelation and influence of Marketing on other functional departments of Just Eat
Company is described as under:
Human Resource Department- In case of recruitment advertising, Marketing helps in
attracting the best candidates for the post and HR Department takes the best out of all

candidates. In this way, Marketing is related with HR Department. If Just Eat Company is
entering into new markets and developing its products then the new market will require
the recruitment of talented and diverse team for meting needs of customers.
Finance Department- When marketing manager provides the budget to finance
department, then it is approved. So, these both departments are interrelated to each other.
Depending upon the budget of the company, funds for Marketing activities are approved.
In case of deficit finance, financial department will influence the marketing activities.
Production Department- Marketing also provides an estimation of sales upon which the
production department has to work accordingly to meet the criteria specified. Production
team also work according to market research conducted by marketing department. The
influence can be described as the change in demand of product which is transferred from
marketing to production department and the production will be continued as per the
directions of Marketing Department.
Customer Service Departments- There are customers who have queries regarding
marketing of certain products which is collaboratively handled by customer care
representative and marketing team. Suggestions are taken from customers by customer
service and these suggestions can be used in order to make changes in the marketing
strategy of Just Eat.
Public Relation Department- Both are working in order to improve the image of Just
Eat in front of the customers and the mediums used are also same where PR work for
driving positive reputation of firm and marketing for attaining direct revenue. This
influences as better public relations will increase the market share of Just Eat and vice
versa.

Marketing Role is important as well as valuable for the business due to the following
reasons:
