INTRODUCTION
The Royal Mail Group plc is a British multinational mail and courier business that began as
a federal agency in 1516. The firm collects and delivers mail all around the United Kingdom.
Mail and parcels are delivered to Royal Mail processing facilities in quantity or dropped in postal
or delivery containers. The Postal System Act of 2000 established the Post Office as a public
limited company, with the Secretary for Business and Commerce owning 50,004 common stock
plus 1 extraordinary interest, and the Government Solicitor owning 1 insight. In this report

Company performance before COVID and after COVID
Royal Mail has released its financial results for the fiscal year 2019, which runs from
March 31, 2019 to March 31, 2020. Collective earnings rose 2.4 percent year over year to
£10,840 million (2018: 10,581 million); even so, adapted operating profit fell 13.6 percent year
over year to £325 million (2018: £411 million), owing to reduced UKPIL earnings; with the
exception of the effect of IFRS 16, the total figure came to £312 million. Fixed pre - tax profit
for the fiscal period 2019/2020 was £275 million (2018/2019: £398 million), down 30.9 percent
from the previous year. Total revenues for the Royal Mail business units increased 1.6 percent
year on year to £7,720 million (2018: £7,595 million); overall package production grew 2.0
percent each year, weaker than usual, despite the threat of strike (Q3 2019) and the influence of
COVID-19 on worldwide shipping quantities (Q4 2019). According to focused price
adjustments, parcels income grew by 4.6 percent year over year.
Royal Mail's yearly earnings doubled in the latest budget quarter, thanks to a growth of
the market for freight transportation fueled by the pandemic-fueled online buying surge, which
caused a reversal in the firm's finances. During the year to 28 March, pre-tax earnings increased
to £726 million, up from £180 million the previous year. "They anticipated the UK company to
