Workshop Activity 2
Introduction
This is a reflection of my leaning from the workshop and different activities. It is based on the
self-awareness and Johari Window Model of self-awareness. This report will provide four
different activities for a workshop, which are beneficial for intelligence. This report will helpful
for understanding about emotional and cultural intelligence though these activities. Reflection is
providing a self-learning from our experiences (Anderson, 2016).
All the activities are based on emotional intelligence and self-awareness. Employees are facing
different challenges at workplaces. Hence, they should have enough power to handle challenges
with their innovative ideas and skills (Taylor, 2017).
I will provide different activities, which are based on the different topics of my class. It will
describe about the emotional intelligence, cultural intelligence and diversity for global citizen.
Part -1
1. Activity -1:
Time required (30 minutes)
I have an idea for learning and reflection that is based on the Johari Window model
(Saxena, 2015). In this activity, individual can participate. A plane paper will provide to
every person, which have four parts for writing about themselves, which are Open/free
area, Blind area, Hidden area and Unknown area. All four areas are required data about
the participants.
In open/free area, everyone have to write about themselves, such as strength and
weakness as well as their achievements. In blind area, they can write about their
weakness as emotional and cultural ways. In hidden area, they can write about their
hidden talents and abilities, which are never shared with others in past. In unknown area,
they can write about their comfort zones and hidden abilities, which can be explore in
future. Reflection is having different methods for learning as well. It is helpful for
creativity through writing (Bolton, 2010). Johari Window Model is useful for self-
awareness as well as motivation (Halpern, 2009).
