SAFETY, HEATH AND ENVIRONEMNT MANAGEMENT2TASK 1-INTRODUCTIONBSA Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is an organization of Malaysia which deals in aluminum alloywheels. It was formed in 1995. The organization started as an importer of alloy wheels fromEngland, Germany, Russia, Brazil, and later manufactured its own products. BSA became thefirst organization of Malaysia to combine the use of Japanese technology with Hi-Tech RoboticCasting machine for alloy wheels manufacturing. It is assumed that the BSA Manufacturing SdnBhd organization will manufacture 300 wheels in a limited time period ("BSA Manufacturing SdnBhd/Malaysia: Company Profile - Bloomberg", 2016). In this report we will conduct the HIRARCstudy to identify the Hazard, Risk Assessment and control the risk. Risk is known as a potentialof losing and gaining something of value. Here, values refer to physical health, social status, andfinancial wealth, these can be lost when taking a given action or inaction. Through conductingthe HIRARC study the organization enable to identify all the risks and can resolve on timelybasis so that there production process is not hampered due to any risk factor.PURPOSEThe main purpose of this study is to identify the risk and hurdles involved in producing wheelswithin a certain time period. HIRARC study is conducted with the sole motive of identify therisk, and measuring it so that better solutions can be drawn for resolving all such risks. It is theresponsibility of every individual organization to provide a safe working environment to theiremployees, through risk analysis they can measure all the health and safety issues which can beresolved by the management on a timely basis for creating a healthy environment. (HADI, 2016)
SAFETY, HEATH AND ENVIRONEMNT MANAGEMENT3HIRARC STUDY OF THE COMPANYProject area which has been taken of BSA Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is that the organization wantsthe restructure the building. And the construction includes a lot of hazards which are harmful tothe employees. And in order to safeguard the employees, the HIRARC study has been conductedwhich will give the preventive measures to eliminate the risks. The purpose of HIRARC study is to find the factors that are harmful to the employees. TheHIRARC helps in finding that what are the chances that factor is harmful to the employee and inwhat circumstances and what the possible severity that may rise because of the risks. HIRARChelps in giving preventive measures in order to safeguard the employees from the hazardousrisks.PLANNING OF HIRARC ACTIVITIESThe HIRARC activities are planned based on the situation like in the restructuring of a buildingthere are a lot of hazards, for example, health hazards, safety hazards, etc. it is the responsibilityof the employer to assign an experienced and trained person in order to lead the team. (BAHARI,2016)PROCESS OF HIRARC1.Classify work activities:The building has to be reconstructed within the premises of the organization.There are various stages in the reconstruction of a building like from demolishing thebuilding to re-launching the building.The task is big as it is about reconstructing a building of an organization.
