Al Husam General Contracting LLC was thesub contractor of this particular project and had an exclusive position in providing its clientswith excellent services as well as products. The overall vision of the organization is plainlyleading the business of construction. This organization is explicitly leading in the gas and oiltrade throughout the world and also manufacturing pipeline, which includes engineeringworks and tank construction. The main dealing of this particular organization is with theconstruction of EPC for the project under sub contractor Al Husam General Contracting LLC.CE 2.3 Project BackgroundCE 2.3.1 Characteristics of the projectThe project of Saudi Elastomers was executed for understanding the synthetic ornatural polymer that has all the elastic properties. This project comprised of the entire processof making an elastomer and how it is utilized in various products and services. This polymerhas extremely weak intermolecular forces and higher failure strain in comparison to other
polymers. The project was executed by SABIC organization and the contractor of this projectwas TECHNIP. Al Husam General Contracting LLC was the sub contractor of this particularproject. This project was located in Jubail Industrial City, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,which is again one of the most important cities in the world. CE 2.3.2 Objectives developed for the projectThis particular project had various significant objectives. They are as follows:To know about Saudi Elastomers.To understand the entire process of ElastomersTo maintain the quality of the products and services.CE 2.3.3 My area of workI had worked under the sub contractor, Al Husam General Contracting LLC in theproject. I was an important part of this particular project of Saudi Elastomers. I was in theorganization for 2 years and my journey started from January of the year 2014 until Februaryof the year 2016. I learned various new things in this time. This project had helped me inunveiling an incredible journey of experience and professionalism. I was solely associatedwith the several teams and with various important projects throughout these two years. Ireceived as well as gained precious experience with and since the commencement of thisproject until execution, commission and testing of it. My major work area was the inspectionof quality control for all the services as well as products. I made sure that there is no loopholein the quality of the products and also ensured that the safety of the employees and workersare maintained properly.
CE 2.3.4 Project GroupFigure 1: Team Members Associated with the projectCE 2.3.5 My responsibilities throughout the projectI was chosen as the inspector for quality control in the project of Saudi Elastomers.My first and the foremost responsibility was the proper coordination with consultants andrepresentatives and even meeting and inspecting the particular in charge of site to assureregarding problems in quality. These quality related problems majorly involved thediminishing of every non compliance report, checking the quality of all the documents likesite instruction or observations, test results, other documents of quality assurance and qualitycontrol, certificates, calibration, inspection requests, non compliance reports and the deliveryof permanent materials.
