Reflection
1. My level of self-awareness regarding my personal experiences is high as I keep a track of each
and every personal experience of mine in order to reflect and learn from it. As stated by Caldwell
and Hayes (2016) I perceive each and every personal experience as an opportunity which can
help me in learning something which will be beneficial both in my personal and professional life.
As I reflect on my each and every personal experience, therefore my level of self-awareness
regarding my personal experiences is considered as high. As opined by Villarreal Garza (2014)
the high level of self-awareness regarding my personal experiences motivates me to progress in
my professional life, as the high level of self-awareness refrain me from taking any incorrect
decision in my professional life which helps in progressing efficiently in my professional
context. The high level of self-awareness also enables me to overcome the challenges which are
evident in my professional life and in this way motivates me in my professional career.
2. It is very important to build and maintain professional networks as the building and
maintaining of professional networks enables to develop relationship with others, in similar or
different fields, which will assist me in expanding my effectiveness in the organization and
industry in which I work. A key element of networking for me is to make me known to others.
The rationale behind that are the greater people I interact, the greater people there will be to
know who I am and what I am. I utilize every professional and social opportunity for meeting
and connecting with new people.
Making friends and allowing individuals to know me on a personal level is an important feature
of networking. It is very vital from my point of view to let the people whom I meet, to meet, to
get them know who I am, how I think and what skills I have to offer. I personally believe that
being open, honest and comfortable with others and just being me is the most effective way to do
it. It is very vital for me to leave an impression which is positive in nature with everyone I
interact and to send the message that other than being competent, I am also a pleasant person to
deal with. Being optimistic and excited regarding what I do will enable them to remember me
and want to keep a connection with me.
