Person suffering from the disorder also shows lack of desireas well as motivation to accomplish goals, lack of social mingling skills and blunted emotions(Simeone et al., 2015). Current data shows that about 1.1% of the world’s population regardlessof racial, ethnic or economic background is suffering from the disorders. About 3.5 millionpeople in the United States are diagnosed with the disorders. Three quarters of the person whoare suffering from schizophrenia are between the ages of 16 to 25. Studies have also shown that25% of the patients recover completely whereas 50% are improved over a ten year period and25% people do not improve at all. Treatment and other financial investments associated with thepatients suffering from the disease are huge like about $32.5 to $65 billion annually. Therefore itis mostly seen form the studies that 50% of the patients diagnose with schizophrenia do notreceive any treatment (Swets et al., 2014).Diagnosis of schizophrenia needs to be conducted by eminent doctors and specialists.They especially usually look for two important symptoms that denote them to be suffering fromschizophrenia. These involve delusions where the patients develop false beliefs which they donot want to give up even when they get proves that their thinking is not correct. Secondly, thedoctors also look for hallucinations which are the hearing as well as seeing of things which donot exist in reality. Such patients also show symptoms like disorganized speech as well asbehaviors (Jerrell et al., 2017). The faster the diagnoses of the patients, the better the treatmentwill help to recover from the disorders. Apart from carrying out the physical examination to ruleout the complications of the disorders, the professional may also conduct screenings and tests to

Specially, doctors use the important criteria for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual ofMental Disorders (DSM-5) which is published by American Psychiatric association.Treatment of schizophrenia is done by the use of first generation medicines and thesecond generation medication where the later has lesser side effects. The main goal of theantipsychotic medication is the effective management of the signs and symptoms of the lowestpossible dose mainly by modifying the secretion of neurotransmitter dopamine form the brain.Some of the second generation medications includeAripiprazole, Iloperidone, Quetiapine andseveral others. There are other therapies as well as like the cognitive behavioral therapy thatprovides the best effects (Nathan & Gorman, 2015). It is conducted in an environment where thepatients feel safe and challenging delusions re avoided. This therapy helps to implement naturalimplement coping therapies. They mainly provide help on developing rational thoughts andperspectives about thoughts and delusions and help them come back to reality in their lives.Personal therapy is another technique which is very much like CBT and contains one on onesession that include working on each of the individual disorders and symptoms. It mainly helpsby focusing on affective dysregulation and also ability to adapt to stressors of the illness.. Itdiffers from CBT in its utilization of the phases as they correspond to the patients recovery anddepends on the degree to which patient improves as it is a long term treatment plan. compliancetheory is mainly helpful in acute phases of the disorder and is carried for short phase like for 4 to6 session where the main goals remains medication adherence and also getting the patient to takemedicines after discharge as well (Fusar-Poli et al., 2014).
