Challenges and Issues in Software Defined Networking (SDN)

Over the last four decades, a new standards have been developed in the Internet and the IP networks to adapt and respond to rapid changes that surround our societies. This research section focuses on the deployment issues and challenges in Software Defined Networking (SDN), including the separation of control plane from data plane and the use of Open Flow protocol. The aim is to explore the benefits and limitations of SDN in managing and automating networks, as well as addressing security concerns in large enterprise networks.

Challenges and Issues in Software Defined Networking (SDN)_2
SDN 2
Introduction
The term SDN is defined as the software-defined networking which is a
process of managing computer networks in the organization. The use of
software-defined networking is growing quickly and many companies are
using this approach because it enables dynamic and effective network
configuration for improving the overall performance of networks. The
main part of the software-defined networking is a control panel that has
the potential for controlling and managing the working of computer
networks used in the organizations (Akhunzada, et al., 2015). The key
purpose of this investigation is to highlight the deployment issues and
challenges occurred in the SDN technology and evaluate security risks
linked with this computer technology. recently there are various open
sources developed which can help companies for managing recent
updates of software-defined networks, for example, open flows, open
switch, onos controllers, AWS ACA and AWS ACF. This report mainly
focuses on the security and deployment related issues linked with SDN
technology.
Software-defined and programmable networks
Software-defined networking is the physical separation of the networks
which is used in the business industries for controlling and improving the
performance of networks. It is an advanced information technology which
is increasing day by day because of their several advantages such as
dynamic, more effective, manageable, easy to understand and apply,
cost-effective and so on (Chen, et al., 2016). In this generation, every
company uses information technologies and it is very important to
control and manage their computer networks in an effective manner for
which new technology was developed called SDN. It has the ability for
monitoring the performance of computer networks and reduces the
errors and problem produced in the system.
