INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are those which helps a person in professional development (Booth and Clenton,
2020). These skills are developed through education and training. This project report includes
description of personal and professional development with short term, medium term goal, long
term goals of a person. It also includes impact of author, relevance, purpose and reliability of use
of source.

TASK 1
Definition of concept of personal as well as professional development:
Personal development includes various activities which helps a person to develop various skills
and capabilities that helps to improve quality of their life (Knapton and Belgians, 2018).
Professional development refers to a process that helps a person to improve their knowledge and
learning through academic degrees with education, certification as well as training. These
developments helps a person o provide them various career opportunity in their life and also
provide opportunity to develop various new skills.
Discussion of short term goals and personal example
Short term goals are those goals which can be attained within some months or weeks. These
helps to motivate a person as it includes easy goals which can be attain easily in less time. Some
of personal example of short-term goals are as follows:
 Learning communication in both form oral as well as written
 Learning effective presentation skills.
 Learning time management skills.
Discussion of medium term goals and personal example
Medium term goals are those which helps provide support for attainment of long term goals of aa
person (Kneale, 2019). These goals take less time tan long term goals but more time than short
term goals. Some of personal example of medium term goals are as follows:
 Getting internship opportunity to gain work experience.
 Focusing on studies to get good grades.
 Building network with other people
